I was excited to participate this go round. Unfortunately my mother passed this year. (Adopted and biological) not even a month apart. This will be my first baby without the support from them. It’s been a hard year. From car repossession, to Covid and the lost of many family members. This would be a blessing for me and my new baby, as well as my two boys I already have. Hey, little tip about cooking bacon in the oven: you can save the bacon grease by pouring it into an airtight glass jar and storing it in the fridge. It makes a great substitute for butter when cooking anything from potatoes to chicken, or even in a cookie dough recipe!
It's also great for pie dough, too!

@@toribarnes8 haha yes! I have a recipe for bacon chocolate chip cookies, and I replace a couple of tablespoons of butter with some of the cold bacon grease. It gives the cookies a somewhat smoky flavor. I know it sounds crazy but people go crazy for it when I make them lol
Just had my baby on the 18th of December she wasn't due till the 8th of January but due to some health concerns I had to get Induced..
So happy to say she and myself are healthy as can be...

Pour the bacon freeze in a container to save or wait for it to harden then scrape off. I have been trying not to use unnecessarily containers and recycle as much as I can as our landfills are filling up.

I have yet to announce my pregnancy publicly yet on my social media I’m only 7 weeks today. But got to see baby and hear heartbeat yesterday. Another idea to cook bacon in the oven, is to cook it on a cookie sheet on parchment paper. Then you just throw away the paper when the fat hardens on it and still have a clean cookie sheet.

Perfect use of the word epitome Keren! I wish I could come live with Nonnie. I have two grandkids that would visit all the time and one is a girl, y'all would love to borrow my girl, she is sunshine in a smile! Only issue is my grandson is Landon and my granddaughter is Naomi and we call her Nae Nae all the time, so no matter which grandchild I called your Landon would think we were calling him. My husband and teenagers would wonder where I ran off too, so that would be the only issue. 😅😅😅 oh and I'm Nonna, which is not Nonnie, but close. Okay I need to stop, but living alone sounds divine right now. Go to Costco and you can buy hard boiled eggs like 36 of the for like $8 and they stay for ever in the frig. If you want them warm soak them in hot water for a few minutes …perfect every time!

Omg, that way Keren has thought of to cook bacon in the oven, in one of those disposable cooking trays, so there is not a huge mess of oil spatter over the kitchen surfaces to clean up after cooking it in the pan on the cook top, is such a great idea!

another oven tip for easy clean up, put a sheet of tin foil down on any pan you bake on and then put whatever your cooking with on the tin foil. when food is done, throw away the tin foil and there will be no hard scrubbing on the pan, just a quick soap and water rinse!
