I was looking at the clear night sky yesterday and seeing Mars realised how privileged we are to live at a time when we can see images of the surface of this tiny pink spec of light…

It is pretty cosmic to l👀k up and see Mars knowing that the sun is rising and setting upon it's lonely landscapes.
Hopefully in our lifetime man ( . . . and woman) will set foot upon it very soon.

Always a wonderful gallery of images from the Red Planet, full of amazing vistas and detail. I always in awe of the SCALE in the scenes, just incredibly massive valleys and the mounts are HUGE!!!
    Thank you for uploading this!

No wonder why human kind has been so fascinated with mars. I remember so many yrs ago ,as a lil kid i was so impressed with the old movie Rocket Ship XM . Especially what the explorers found on mars.

There are a number of factors that would explain why Mars lost it's water. The proposal about Mars once being closer to the Sun is just that, a proposal, there is no hard evidence to prove it

@@giusepp814 From what I can find out, that theory of Mars being nearer to the Sun came from a proposal made in 2018. I suggest you do a search for "how did Mars lose it's water?"
