I'm from Tuscany and love this video. Straight to the point, very informative for tourists and above all not the stupid music with mandolins or the usual "that's amore" many tourists put as background and that have nothing to do with Tuscany. Well done mate.
I have been here a couple times but you showed me a few new things to look for. I will be going again for sure. Thanks for the video, was great to see it again.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I am glad that I can show you something new despite you have already been there. You can always find excuses to return and have that gelato ;)
Wow love this video, a proper guide....amazing buildings, marketplace, you explain history so well...love the way people are enjoying and relaxing, lovely cafes...great gelatos
As an Indian tourist in Italy in 2017, I marvelled at the wonderfully preserved medieval towns of Tuscany. Your videos are helping me re-live those wonderful experiences - but are also creating some disappointment, because I missed out a few of the attractions covered by you :-(
We visited over the summer and did a tour of the torture museum and a walking tour if you'd like to check it out! Great list of things to do! educational and enjoyable!
Is the best way to get to San Gimignano by car from Siena? I'm visiting Rome for the first time in October for 2 weeks with a 3 day stop in Florence. I've read there's a train from Florence to Siena (I think). Would like to possibly extend my Florence stay for another 2-3 days and visit Siena/San Gimignano.
The train from Florence stops in Poggibonsi. At the train station you can catch a bus directly to San Gimi. I lived in San Gimi for many years and still have family there.@@rokgoesaround
Thanks for asking. You can see everything in one full day. If you are in a hurry you can also visit San Gim as a day trip from Florence. Personally I like to take the time to soak up the place an visit few restaurants, so if that is the case for you as well than two days would be perfect.
There are parking areas where you pay by the hour. Usually parking close to the old town gets busy quickly, but there are more options further from the old town, so you should be fine.
@@rokgoesaround well, as a tourist you may think it is a beautiful city, but as a local (local is intended as a habitant of the province of siena) you know how poggibonsi and san gimignano are probably the worst cities in the whole of tuscany
The best video about San Gimignano I've saw! Extremely useful for anyone like me who plans to travel and explore the towns of Tuscany.
Thanks! Appreciated 🤗

Thanks for the video.Where is that house of miniture of San Gimignano? Is it in Piazza del Cisterna?
Thanks. No, just look for San Gimignano 1300 on Via Costarella 3.
@FunInTuscany while in San Gimigano ❤
We will be traveling by car. Where can we park? Do you need any special parking permits or anything?
