This song is so powerful. However, there is another version of this and this choreo is so beautiful. I hope you watch a live performance to really TRULY see their performance.
Just a heads up, make sure you have a box of tissues ready for the MV and explanation video. I've seen many grown men cry to them. It's the QUEEN for a reason.
I'm sure someone told you, but the guys were actually just playing around. They often do that with their choreo during a dance practice. So these are more for fun than for an analysis. Having said that, I love your interpretation of this dance practice for sure. :) Borahae!

There is a whole lot of goofing around in the lovely version of the dance choreography, so I wouldn't read too much into some of the scenes. Just the guys trying to lighten up the mood. They do have some hilarious chorography vids.

As others have said, the 'lovely version' is much more lighthearted and rather unserious, which is endearing. But you can't try to interpret it seriously. If you watch it again, you'll notice they're fighting the giggles in a lot of places. To truly appreciate the emotions they convey and the pictures they create in the choreography, you should watch the regular version or a live performance. This is one of their more moving and sentimental choreos when they aren't being silly. That being said, I'm glad you found this anyway. A lot of people see the MV and stop there. Also, It's important to realize, that the song was written first, and the MV came after; the song was not WRITTEN for the MV. The song and choreo and the MV tell different stories.
You should watch the original dance practice, this is the "lovely" version. They'll do random "versions" of their dance practice just for more fun, which is why they aren't as serious as they are in their original dance practice version. So good, but it doesn't necessarily highlight their choreo as well. 👍🏻
Actually, this is a very sad song. This song symbolizes and commemorates the victims and survivors of the tragedy. In this song, Jimin and Jin represent the victims and the rest of the members represent the survivors. At the beginning of the choreography, Jimin reaches out to the survivors, but they are soon swept away by the waves. In the middle, when Taehyung feels guilty as a survivor and wanders off, the victim, Jin, comes out of the boat to comfort him. Finally, Jimin, who was swept away by the waves, meets and hugs the same victim, Jin. Not only this, but you can see that the choreography of Spring Day is deeply connected to the lyrics.

this is the lovely version. they usually make goofy versions of their choreography where you see them playing around or doing it in costumes. but there is another "serious" version where you can def see the emotional choreo
"Caution" 🤣 - You just witnessed prime BTS crackhead behaviour. Several of their songs have a serious and a crackhead version of the dance practice (those are called the lovely/real war/appeal versions). And then there're Halloween dance practice videos too! 😂
Ahhh see I didn’t know that I was reacting to it from a serious prospective because the song is a deep song and like things they were doing made sense but now the crackheads make more sense 🤣

The live version of this is beautiful, MMA 2017. This dance practice is for that performance I think.. This practice is just them goofing around , as they do frequently in dance practices, and the uplifting parts aren't part of the real choreo. One of funniest is Just One Day where RM overacts and V can't stop laughing, also all of the Halloween dance practices. I like your interpretation better and I hope they did think that a bit.

I highly recommend watching the MV first so that you can get behind in the explanation video. There are two explainer videos - the first came out shortly after release and explains some things, but the full depth is revealed in the Italian Army version released a few years later. Furthermore, I recommend the live version with the army vocals and the real dance practice video. So in short here is my recommended order:

Oops looks like you reacted to the wrong one lol😅, this is the silly version and it’s a mess haha (of course in the best way possible but it’s not quite what you were looking for I’m guessing). The real one is a much better representation of the song’s seriousness, but I get it it’s an easy mistake to make😙. If it says “version” or something with it besides just be song name and dance practice like “festa” it’s not the right one (unless it’s one from festa “2022” where they released normal dance practices). Hope you get a heave to see the original too (and maybe even a live performance) because the actual dance when they’re being serious is so beautiful and moving. Doesn’t fail to make me cry when I see it live🥺💜
