- How to DIY a Fringe Streamer Tablecloth Party Backdrop!! This easy method is is perfect for photo backdrops, cake table backdrops or just to hang up in a child's room as decoration! You can also hang these from organic balloon garlands or drape across the ceiling!!

This was supposed to be combined with a balloon garland, but client cancelled the package add-on at the last minute. If you add an organic balloon garland this would look so beautiful!!

Full Directions:
1. Purchase 12-15 tablecloths in varying colors that match your party colors
2. Unfold tablecloths partially until you can lay it out flat on a cutting mat. DO NOT UNFOLD ALL THE WAY LIKE YOU WOULD DO TO PUT IT ON A TABLE (See video for reference)
3. Use a rotary cutter and ruler to cut 1 1/2-2 inch strips of tablecloths.
4. Cut 4 pieces of twine in the length of 6-8 ft and tie or tape it to a sturdy surface
5. Take tablecloth strips and begin to loop knot them around the twine rows one by one
6. Repeat this step until you've filled up the twine rows, Alternate colors to create interest, if possible add in metallic to make it pop
7. To hang up backdrop you can either tie each row to a backdrop stand or tape each row to the wall

Hello, the canopy tent is from a tent rental and draping company! I’ve seen them do it and it doesn’t look to be very difficult, more so time consuming. 💕

Yes, it would be so much more reusable with fabric. People often do the streamers because it’s cheaper. I like the plastic tablecloths as a happy medium. I think it’ll just be a bit heavier when you try to hang it using fabric, but it would look sooo cute!! 😊

Thank you so much for your video! They're great!! Ive been struggling trying to come up with the perfect packages for my new even planning business. I am also aiming to design children's parties. Ive just been none stop thinking of what would be the perfect packages and the perfect price, nothing too pricey since I am starting out but I also don't want to charge low for all the work I will be putting in. Ive decided that I want three packages ( basic, regular, vip) but I just don't know what to include in them. I know the basics tables, chairs, centerpieces, tablecloths and etc.. but I would also like to include a couple kids activities. I would like to see if you can try to help/explain to me how to move forward and get these packages and pricing going since I am stuck and taking forever to figure it out. Me too! I was telling my husband we should just make a couple popular color schemes and just have them on hand in the inventory. If you want to do it too, I’d recommend to use the deer blocking instead of the twine method if you’re going to secure it on backdrop stands outside. This method is faster, but I’d use it more if you’re just securing it straight to a wall or inside with no wind.

Yes and no! Depends on which kind you buy. There’s a link in the description box to the one I bought, they have others available though in different lengths, thickness, etc

I see you mentioned you don’t do the draping so when you do events like this is the client the one that looks for some one to do it or do you? I’m hoping to be an event planner in the future but I am always thinking about how much work I would actually be able to handle lol
Hi Jessica, I totally understand lol That is such an important question to ask yourself too! I’m glad that you’re thinking that way early on. Experimenting is really the only way to know for sure what you would and how much you can handle in this business.
I started my business when I was in college and I had two young children and I’ve always preferred to handle only the parts of the event that suit my passion and lifestyle, which meant (for me personally) not handling full scale planning or larger events like weddings. Although I can do them, it’s always been more attention to clients and one particular event than I was willing to give. Working with a substantial list of vendors is nice because every detail can be executed to your vision, but it’s also a lot of extra admin work handling them.
So to directly answer your question, if the client would like a draping service they will have to secure it themselves, but I do offer free referrals because I want my clients to still use the best vendors if possible.
On the flip side though, utilizing vendors can also lighten your load on the day of the event and allow you the ability to elevate your event because with limited setup times there’s only so much you alone or you with a smaller team can accomplish.
If you start small, you can be an event planner now. It doesn’t have to be a full time career right from the start or ever if you don’t want it to be. If there’s an opportunity for you to take on a smaller event or part of an event, like backdrops and balloon garlands or just a treat table, even if it’s for family..I recommend getting started so some of that hands on learning can begin. 💕
@@BashBesties Thankyou so much for your reply it means a lot i currently make treats but the idea of planning events really excites me I was thinking of becoming a wedding planner but when I see your work I feel like children’s events would fit me more I also have an almost two year old so I wouldn’t want to do something that takes too much time away from her I will be purchasing your guide soon and I am looking forward to learning more into this career you make it look so fun!
How to you make the uneven fringe at the bottom ? Did you randomly cut the ends?
I just grab randomly in the middle of the strip when I tie it on the twine, so it’s not perfect even every time. You can also just cut it to your liking. 😊💕
How did you secure the twine to the balloon stand ?
Hi you can just tie it around the pole and use strong tape on the back so it doesn’t slide down out of place. 😊

Hello Viridiana, I bought 14 (2 in each color) and used about 12 of them. I still had a couple packs and strips left over when I was done. You could use less tablecloths if you space out the strips on the mesh fencing but I placed strips on almost each of the holes.

Hi there, I think you would have to do your research to see if it’s a viable career for you. If you live in a small town where you are the only event planner there, than you could probably do very well if you are the go to girl for all things events. Ask yourself some questions...
Do you find that people host many events where you live or is it all very casual? Is there already an event planner in town? Is there a need for an event planner at all? What kind of events do people usually throw when they do? Maybe you’d have to specialize in weddings..people are always getting married...maybe there’s a nonprofit that needs an event organizer...Is it possible to travel farther into the next town?...
You’d have to really critically think about it because only you know the circumstances. I would recommend talking to people in your town too and see if they’re in need of such services or their input on the whole topic. 💕

I understand, the roll is going to make it harder for you. You want to buy the actual tablecloth packages it will make it so much easier. You unfold one time so it can lay flat longways and cut strips of the same general length! :)

Hello, I prefer the ones from Party City! They are a little thicker than the Dollar Tree ones, so stronger when you have to cut and pull on them. 💕
