Getting to level 9999 is a very minimal part of it. You have to have to matching rarity on all 4 items, maxed out weapon mastery, maxed out stored levels from reincarnation, max powered level 200 equipment, powerful or maxed residents, and lastly level 9999.
Felonies can be considered a percentage for an xp bonus. For example, having 20 felonies equals 20% more xp. The max you can get is 300. As far as treasure maps go, go to the Item World and stay on each level for at least two turns. A pirate may or may not show up. Kill the pirate and you get a treasure map. Take that map and equip it to characters you probably don't use. That will increase your chances of more pirate attacks. There are 16 maps all together. Some harder to get than others.
@MinhXD123 Generally speaking, geo squares are your best friends, particularly if you have, Critical/Deathblow, Invincibility, No Close Combat/No Ranged Combat, or isolate him behind a wall (pathetic Jmp stat) or across a gap (as long as he doesn't have ranged attacks) and buff 'n pelt (don't move - it increases your damage percentage every action) until damage begins to take. It's about the only way you can beat characters that are much higher leveled than you, but it takes like an hour or so.
When you're powered up to that extent, he who gets the first hit, wins (in a hypothetical battle vs someone else that awesome, I mean). 3 move-upgraded accelerators that you could switch out to move your guy across the battlefield would make it that much more insane. I'm not OCD enough to perfect all those items. I owned UPB using 2 fenrirs spamming wind attacks on each other (heal w/ lovers) and UPB caught in the middle. Since he "only" did 4M against my guys, I could heal and kill his ass.

No. You can go back and forth anytime. If you want to level grind and get the rank 40 items, you do that in the LoC, For everything else, it's best to do that in Holt Village. By the way, do you literally fight your way through the Item World or are you using the lift and throw method?

Well there are prep phases like leveling equipment, collecting felonies, and finding all the maps which can take a while. But once you get past that, getting to level 9999 shouldn't take no more than 45 mins.
i know this vid and game are old but people should know, to get stats etc like that u need to grind over 1000 hours to do this. ive had and played this game for years and my stats are no where like that lol..
+Dallas Michael its just the efficient farming technique for example the first few times i played through disgaea 4 it took me 200+ hours to even kill pringer x poison now it takes me 60-70 to get to loc and kill baal
Nope. Under 100 hours in D1 I was able to perfect 3 super weapons, 3 super robo suits, and leveled up to 9999 and killed baal without going to a new cycle. So all of that before finishing the main story. It's just about how efficient can you be.
@Anonymous . I never understood the farming in this game. To be honest I played the game normally everytime as the main game doesnt need this attrocious farming, so I am surprised to see all these things. The only extra things I was able to get where Laharl and Flonne.
Im also working on making this kind of character on Disgaea 2 Dark Hero Days and you only need to have a defense around 12 Million and a speed above 2 Million to solo LoC Max stronger enemy bill (though it really wont do much) Baal Castle Viewing room. its fun to see all those misses they make against a level one who isnt getting his Double Stat Boost.
Overlord Zetta is "The Most Badass over Lord" he has the Strongest mana in the universe.. however he destroyed the Sacred Tomb... wich in turn let to his... sort of demise.. in order to prevent his death he fused with the Sacret Tomb. and tha all happens in Phantom kingdom.. aka Makai kingdom

uuhh...i need to train my characters really bad, so which one is a better training place? ordeal 4 or 5? in ordeal 4, there are 8x 1087lv and in ordeal 5 there are lv 8x 1125, 2x 1450 and 1x 2243 enemies cuz im not sure do i get less exp from humanoids than monsters -,-'
I knew about the Land of Carnage that boosts them to like, mid-5000's, What about for leveling items? I learned that after getting to the 30th floor (and beaten it) on a normal item (I know the higher ones have more floors) that I couldn't increase its item level any more. Am I missing something? I know you can boost the item level with finding stuff such as in the mystery rooms, but in a legendary item.... how do you boost an item an extra 100 levels to the 200 cap?
ahhh well, i see, i kinda have high stats, my atk is 3590000 something like that and defense is almost 6000000 but ive seen people doing 12m damage with a single hit without skill, im like wtf? i love this disgaea, this is my favourite, i dont mind not playing others, i have those stats in laharl, the ones i said, not the ones in the video, what i mean that its weird is, i have yoshitsuna lvled to 100 at land of carnage, always killed the 10/20/30 etc bosses to get more stats, and did that

O and by the way alextkint, you can have the majin in Disgaea 3, the only problem is that he cannot learn any skills, bad movement, bad throwing, and absolutely terrible aptitudes

Items can go up to level 200 in this game...not just 100. You also probably don't have matching rarity items, you haven't perfected your items, you haven't capped resident levels, you don't have weapon levels at 255, you probably haven't gotten to level 9999 and you don't have 186,000 stored levels of reincarnation. If you do all of that then you will have the same insane stats.

Worse; he's doing it with an Omega Sentinel, which is like swimming across the English Channel at night doing the back stroke with 200 pound weights strapped to each arm and leg and an extra 600 pounds around your chest and stomach.
Majin are a curse upon Disgaea. It's like making an ultimate item that's 1.5 times as powerful as every other weapon, making any kind of variation or uniqueness pointless.
maybe in disgaea 1, in 2 are quite nerfed and chara specialist in one field can outdone majins in what they do. In fact magic knights are probabily the only way to beat those 8 usealed pringer x with 40 milion stats.

I've used geos so much and they really can be fun. Especially if on invincible to allow your characters to attack each other or stack attack :)

Loved this game so much as a kid on my ps2, 2018 and Just found this
It's such a good game and sometimes the grinding can be really fun. Still a lot of work though.

i played thru disgaea 4 once and lost interest, idk why i played digaea and disgaea 2 400+ hours
