If you loosen the front rack support braces at the bottom, the bolts are inside the fender behind the headlights, the front bolts line up easily. If you ride at night the front box makes the handle bar light useless so be ready to buy a light bar. Even on high the fender mounted lights are lacking without the handle bar light. I unhook the handle bar headlight to get rid of the reflection off the box.
Do you think that the front box will mount on the rear rack? I know the bolt holes will need to be modified but how about the spacing for the rack cross bars?

Yamaha makes a box made for the rear. I have 2 Grizzly's and have front and rear boxes on both.
Does high-beam light still shine out good?

Doesn't really get in the way, no.
It's really too bad they didn't make this quickly removeable. Would be a lot more useful if they did. Love how it fits the bars in the racks.
