- When Nintendo created Super Mario Kart they intended it to be played in a certain way. In this video, we apply those same ideas to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to play in 2024 the way Nintendo indented in 1992.
The premise is simple, we must place in the top 4 in each online Mario Kart 8 Deluxe or we lose one of our four lives. First place gives you 9 points, 2nd place 6 points, 3rd place 3 points, and fourth place 1 point.
How many points can we accumulate before we lose all of our lives?

there are a lot of people trying to grow a mario kart based channel, and i click on their videos sometimes (the ones with under 1K views). but most of them are just very bad, either because they're bad at the game, not knowledgeable about strategies and mechanics, or just major copycats of other big mario kart creators. but i think your channel has a really good chance of growing! your driving is on point, you know what you're talking about, and you always have original ideas!
here's a couple more things you could try in case you're looking for more ideas:
- custom items races with teams, where one team has every item except one, and the other team has only that item (e.g. boo item vs every other item)
- trying to learn advanced driving techniques and implementing them in your races, like counter slides, kusaan slides, kusaan tricks, etc.
- signing up for competitive mario kart lounge and playing a mogi, but actually showing the process of signing up, getting a teammate, etc.
i know most of that stuff is pretty niche but it's definitely something i'd watch! 😁

Another rule to note that if you get first place 3 times in a row, in super Mario kart, you get an extra life! Also you should do the same thing again with an snes controller. That would be cool fr.
4:23 you do 2 orange miniturbos, one after the first glider and the second one off the last glider, and if you're good enough you can do an orange and then a purple.

Honestly I'm fine with things not hitting on my screen on other people because it feels awful when you get hit and you have no clue what hit you like what happens when you lag trail someone
Also fun fact Mario pipe frame is actually a pretty good combo

4:12 get a blue mini turbo than release it and then start another drift you should get a purple mini turbo then hold it till the glider 👍

You should try to unlock the full gold combo🎉
on sunshine airport to answer ur question, if ur in a bad placement and need good items hold the purple mt on the inside and then release it to grab the double or if u are in a 6+ placement you hold the purple mt and/or you have a high mt stat kart you can go for 1 blue and 1 purple and then do motion glider

Yoshi's a dragon?
Probably a localization error. Yoshi is a dinosaur. It was confirmed in Super Mario World since that game takes place in Dinosaur Land.

Could you please not saturate your next video? It's really bad in some parts of the videos (for example Yoshi's Island underwater) because it looks very ugly like that
