The coach needs to get control of his team. I played for a team in HS. We went undefeated and DOMINATED. But we were always forced to be humble and not run up the score. We didnt jump and party when we dunked over some 5’6” kid. ESPECIALLY in an exhibition. Kids need to learn respect.

The coach needs to let his kids play. My team dominated when I was in high school. When our bench warmers got to get in the game we let them play because they rarely saw the court. We cheered for them just like they cheered for the people in the rotation.

My school had 50 HS students, we scraped together 10 guys for a roster and got a lot of local teams to play with us. Two of our starters were actually quite good, they were on AU teams and one went on to play college ball. So good teams were quite willing to scrim with us or invite us to tournaments, we could hold our own well enough to provide good practice and occasionally win. One time we got invited to a very well known private school for an invitational game. That team regularly sends their players to college (that year one had commited to Harvard, and another had been accepted to a few and was still purveying options). They were even coached by an ex NBA player. From 10 mins in we were down some 30 points; we were getting alley ooped and dunked on every play. Their PG was taller than our biggest man. Eventually they let up, their coach told them to stop dunking and only played bench. We also only played bench. It went from being the worst beat down to the most fun game; theyd run their wildest plays and go for crazy 1v1s, wed also just go for the crazy stuff. One of our players made back to back threes from the logo. We lost by 50 but both teams left laughing.

Played on a 2A team as a freshman. Went to a Basketball tournament in flagstaff. Lost a fairly one sided game against a 3a highschool from Utah. Something like 55 to 42. The Utah school played some Academy and got eviscerated, the score was like 70+ to 24. And a lot of those 24 points came from lucky 3's that had no business going in. Later that year we learned that the Academy that whooped the team that gave us a decent beating was murdered, lost by 60 something to Shadow Mountain, with their star player in Jaelen House. (Who, by the way, is currently a mediocre college point guard averaging 12-4-4 on 24% shooting) There's levels to this sport.
When I played hockey, game would be stopped if other team lead by 15 goals😂 I remember we was up 14-0 against some bum team and one our player got break away, everyone was yelling "dont score" so the game would not end, he scored😂
South Lake is the highschool I graduated from, I have a cousin that's on the team, they have talent on the team, the dudes they were playing 5 STAR RECRUITS!!! Two of us went over to the opposition and we played the second half as an unofficial game. Both times the score was only 2-1. It was great because the other sides got to play some hockey where they could compete and get a bit better.

We played Link academy last year, the team that ended up winning geico nationals. We were within one in the second quarter and were only down 9 at half. We ended up losing by a ton but we just had no depth while they had all five and 4 stars off the bench.
This is why Euro players are taking over the NBA... in Europe these kids would be playing against other great players and developing their skill and they mental game under pressure within a club/federated structure. Even if you are the best of the best, your club would make you practice with the pro team. These games are just a joke.

This is why Euro players are taking over the NBA... in Europe these kids would be playing against other great players and developing their skill and they mental game under pressure within a club/federated structure. Even if you are the best of the best, your club would make you practice with the pro team. These games are just a joke.

I dont think they should end a game if a team is losing. This the only way to learn where you need to be and what to do on the next game. With that being said Their next game they need to be playing like the winning team.
