- Hi everybody, here is another nice little melody lesson, this time it's Blue Bossa. You find the free tabs inside the video. Enjoy the music and don't forget to practice . . .
I have left flamenco guitar behind to play jazz because of your tutors Achim :)
Really? Thanks, best regards from Germany
@@AchimKohl-JazzGuitar In some way yes. I was just too confused playing all those bulerias. Now it is much easier, I just take partition and play a piecie note to note. I just discovered that I need some limits, as too much freedom in music leads sometimes to chaos. Also other thing - when it's cold in Poland, and winter is coming it's hard to play flamenco guitar for me, something's wrong with strings tensions and guitar, and of course my muscles - flamenco guitar loves sunny, hot weather.
Jazz suits me now much better, as I can play song from A to B just looking into partition, and I don't need to practice everyday to be in form - I can play jazz whenever I wont, it's much easier. Also when my kids are sleeping, I can play jazz on my cheap Squier Affinity tele - try to play buleria with loud golpes and appregios in the middle of night, and you'd wake up all family.
Greetings from Niedesshlesien!
man you are teaching me a lot of jazz. it is not as difficult as i thought it would be. thanks man, your lessons really helped me advancing my playing :)
Thank you so much for everything man you deserve a lot more views!
Thank you very much. I greatly appreciate your format and find it very helpful.
Прекрасное объяснение,огромное Спасибо!
You say it is in Cm, but the notation looks like Eb. ?
Your lessons are absolutely the best, always challenging.
Cm has the the same clefs as Eb major , it is the parallel key . Best regards from Germany
The relative minor, of course, I realized it not long after I posted. (Doh)

Hi Diego, always a pleasure to hear from you, all the best for your playing!
quick question, Mr. Kohl, why do you use a g7b9 when the real book indicates a g7#5#9? im just wondering, i was doing my own harmonic analysis and was curious. thanks
II-V-I chord progressions in minor have always a dominant 7th (V7b9) chord with a b9, you can also add more alterations to the dominant 7th chord like the the #5 or the #9, but the b9 is the correct alteration in minor. I don't know which Real book do you have, not everything is correct in the books, believe me . . .
And then perhaps a Kenny Burrel tune like MIdnite Blue? If you have already done Wave and Midnite Blue please let me know. :) This is now my favorite guitar site. :)
Hi, i appreciate what you're doing... your lessons are so clear...
Please could you do a tutorial of #TIMING FEEL ON SOLO GUITAR... I have so much trouble there... thanks
Thank you for posting all of this. What do you think of doing the same for the song Wave, a notch higher in skill and chords? That would be really helpful for me and maybe others here. :)
Could you play Jazzenco from George Benson? Thank you
Bjr comment vous contacter pour plus d infos ? Merci
You can write a comment here on TH-cam, I will answer . . .
I appreciate if you show which is how to play rest of song.
The rest is improvising on those chord changes, that's up to your creativity and knowledge my guy, or transcribe a solo you like and learn that
