Hello, as some people have mentioned. The Arcoss G42 is designed to for the Steam Deck plus its Armor G12 TomToc Case, that's why it is so big (though I do understand the confusion as they have added that "Switch Games Holder"). The one for Switch is the T26 I think. Cheers
Hey, do you think this fits the deck? Saw on their website and the G47 is the one marketed for the steam deck specifically. It looks bigger in pictures and I'm not sure this particular model would fit the deck... Seriously considering one though so if you have this and it fits the deck, please let me know.
Adding this for the gamers out there, waterfield designs has some cases for the switch and other gaming handhelds. I personally own a ROG Ally and ended up going with the Coach Ethan pack. Enough room for the ROG ally, slim charger, phone and battery bank.
Great review. I use this bag as my EDC sling which works great. Have removed the Switch protector and gaming cards storage for additional space. Tomtoc bags are incredible value for money. My only negatives of this bag are...no keys lanyard, shoulder strap is not as comfortable as my tomtoc 4L T21 Sling Bag (I use for travel).
I got this for my husband's Steam deck. He loves it. He uses it to carry his steam deck on the plane when he travels. When he gets to his destination, he leaves the Steam Deck behind and removes the divider and uses it as a day bag. Maybe the strap on the back is a luggage passthrough? Haven't tried it to see if it fits.
The handle is similar to the handle you see on the Sympl pouches and slings on the back, it’s just a lot looser and less streamlined when not being used unlike Sympl’s implementation
G'day mate. We like all 4 Slings but the G42 has more possibilities & protection hence the clutch mode, shoulder strap & baggage pass through. More space if you take the game/sim card holder out. We customised the holder, so it could also accommodate our folding cutting tool, flashlight etc including a tape measure & jeweller's magnifying glass. No such thing as a perfect sling.? Well there is now.!! Cowabunga.!
i have an older version of this bag, take away the divider inside and act as a daily bag 5.5L enough for lots of staff: umbulla, fan, earbuds, phone, wallet, my breakfast, sometime with a wind jacket too. there are a much larger version for Steamdeck and its even more bulky.
@Nomads.Nation Aaron, excellent review on the Arccos G42, giving great details on this bag for Nintendo Switch and EDC gear carry. How comfortable is the shoulder strap when worn on-body? It looks like the strap hooks poke out a bit towards you when the bag is worn. Thanks! -Alex@Vanquest
Have this for my steam deck. It's great for protection, but I hardly use it as its way too bulky. Also don't care for the black liner - I've definitely been spoiled by hi-vis/contrast in other bags. I prefer the tomtoc slim case to use in an EDC backpack.
@@Nomads.Nation Actually, I bought the smallest as well for when the large is unnecessary... BTW, I have a caribiner and a reusable shopping bag in the 3 in case I have to get something larger last minute... all my bags are multitasking... I woukd never have know what to get until I slipped into your vids!! 👍😊
Hey Aaron found your channel a week ago on my search for the perfect work/gym bag. Need a bag now and I've decided the modern day farer v2 is probably the best bag for me. That said I've been watching your series on developing your own bag and am dying to get my hands on one. The kick starter shows all the pre orders are gone. Will there be another run or have I missed my chance to get this product? Thanks! Love the content, keep it up!
Thanks for reaching out and wanting to support our launch! As you know, the Kickstarter is over, but we will be starting a post-Kickstarter-pre-sale in the upcoming weeks (for a few hundred units). Are you subscribed to the Fyro email list? If not let shoot me an email aaron@fyro.co and I'll get you in so you can get notified once the pre-sale goes live!

Nice review! I've been waiting for this.

This sling is great for my steam deck! Fits it like a glove and I still have room for all of my cables and accessories.
Love it!

Nice!
Will you review the NIID R0. Similar to the Skyborne Slinger you reviewed IIRC.
no NIID reviews on the horizon, but hopefully soon!
I got it for the Lenovo legion Go. Fits like a glove

Thanks Alex! I found it comfy and didn’t notice the strap hooks when wearing it, but every body type might be different
yep my son uses it when we go on holiday, by plane, always needs his nintendo when we travel 😂
A gamers best friend lol

that handle thing is when your putting the bag on a trolly thing at airport
Ahhh that check out
Black lining might be "gamer" thing cuz we are a lil grimy, average people wouldn't thinking about high visibility/contrast stuff.
makes sense lol
That handle thing in the back might be luggage holder. Beats me!
🤷♂️
You should be behind the camera
Tell me about it
