"Memories" - Elvis Presley - NoahReyMusic

When Billy Strange and Mac Davis wrote the song "Memories" for Elvis's '68 Comeback Special, they were given one night to do so. It's funny, a lifetime of memories can be wrapped up so quickly.
Today, on what would have been my brother Joseph's 31st birthday, I am spending a lot of time thinking about memories. After so many years of repeating the same stories, sometimes you start to wish there were more. But dwelling on the memories that we never had the chance to make takes away from the beauty of the special moments we did have. Some days those memories even feel like they start to fade, but if we diligently keep them alive, they truly do grow "sweeter through the ages." I am grateful for every memory with Joe, and encourage you to cherish each moment of time with your loved ones. You never know what you have until it is gone.
