Sibley Railroad Bridge crossing the very "Muddy MO;" Passing under the Bosworth Bridge; CA Junction

- Returning to the Sibley Railroad Bridge over the Missouri River. I think it's safe to say work on the new bridge is suspended indefinitely, I haven't seen any signs of new construction since the "clearing" operation in May 2023. It does however appear there is some on-going maintenance on the bridge, though I'm not quite able to tell what kind of work. A 2x1 intermodal heads north (railroad east) over a Missouri River stretching from bank to bank, a clear difference from the shots in December where a significant island had open up in the middle of the river.
Second catch is a westbound intermodal passing under the new bridge in Bosworth, MO with some views of the old original bridge that once spanned the tracks. The old bridge now sits on private property adjacent to the old crossing location and is privately owned.
Third catch is of another intermodal headed west through CA Junction where the BNSF Marceline Sub and Norfolk Southern meet/split depending on what direction you are headed.
Your videos always has exceptional color and clarity. We enjoy the fruit of your labor! Keep up the amazing job. God bless and keep safe and healthy. 🙏❤️
@@valeriebassett3107 many thanks again Valerie! The drones these days do such an amazing job of capturing those colors while also grabbing an insane amount detail. 👊🙏
No matter how many times I see a video of this bridge, it never gets old! So scenic. I am glad to see that the river has risen but I do feel bad for the people up river that its affected. You have the talent of making the typical slew of intermodal which dominates this line and making it interesting to observe; both on the bridge and through the vast fields of greenery of the great state of Missouri. Please never stop! 😃
@@BNSFFREAK747 big thanks brother! That’s what keeps bringing me back here. She’s a beauty on screen but its so much more impressive to see her in person. I don’t think I’ll ever get bored flying and snagging trains in this spot. Thanks for watching man👊
Very interesting and another jewel of video friend🚂✨🦾🔝✔️

Witamy Łapka w górę👍 i oglądamy, pozdrawiamy💙
Thank you for watching👊
That is one impressive bridge. And that bridge carried me on my trip to California and back home on the SW Chief back in 2002. Wonder why they suspended construction on the new bridge?
Glad you got to travel over the bridge, must have been a cool experience. Not sure why they suspended construction, I wonder if it were related to economics - maybe a concern about a downturn in rail traffic while spending millions on a new bridge that wasn't necessary? But that's just a guess. Appreciate you watching👊
The Missouri River is definitely up. Do you know anything about the second bridge? It doesn't look like they've done anything since they cleared out both sides of the river.
@@johnfitzpatrick3094 I have looked and looked John, I haven’t found anything definitive. SPECULATION I read was BNSF was concerned about an economic turndown and didn’t want to have cash tied up in a project that wasn’t needed because of lower traffic volume. I do know this, if they do anything now it’s to the point of being so overgrown they are going to need to reclear the entire area again. Thanks for watching. 👊
@@edfoulks8047 They'll definitely need to clear out both sides of the river again.
Looking at this video again, makes me wonder what it looked like during the 1993 flood.
