      Had the same problem with an Isuzu truck, Always started in 2nd, even with a car on the bed. The interior of this truck is very similar to the Isuzu, too. It needs a (china) turbo to climb those type of hills. The diff ratio is probably something like 5.5:1. That speedo was metric, so it was doing about 35 mph when you hit the hill.

    That fuel line looks like a hose for a compressor

    Bedline the whole damn jeep. All of it.
    That 4.0 is a very reliable motor.

    Thing is that the Canter probably doesn't feel much slower with a load on it, it's a truck they're made for that.

    I went down high school hill on a power wheels quad. I pulled the motors out so it coasted nice. It was amazing.

    Chris you gotta make a make-shift shift boot and cover up that hole around the shifter as much as possible, and maybe other holes near the exhaust so it doesn't get steamed out inside when you go through puddles

    Hey I know it alittle late but most jeep seats, Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Wrangler, from the 90s should bolt up to the stock jeep brackets. I have 2000 Grand Cherokee seats in my 97tj on the stock seat brackets.

    1st gear in canter is so short because it's meant to be used only when loaded up. You start from second gear when empty

  • @TylerWallen
    @TylerWallen 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’d imagine 1st is so tight because it’s a granny gear for when a car is on it. Could probably be starting in 2nd unloaded.

    Move the fuel pump closer to the tank, as close as it would go. Those pumps are designed to push, not pull. Its a carb to injection convertion. Done my fair share of those.

    Get some fabric dye from Walmart, and some isopropyl alcohol and a spray bottle and toss emm all in the spray bottle and spray the seats back to black
