Best advise of the movie was when father told his daughter to experience a love that strikes as thunder. That only love gives meaning to life and nothing else.
You're mistaking Love and passion and that's the most common mistake. Love doesn't strike as thunder it's passion. Love is peace and joy, love is rest. Passion is energy, action and dreams. If it cuts you in half it's not love. Most people doesn't know what love is. They only know and live by and for passion and it let them stranded, confused and exhausted.
@@typical_snowflake Love without passion is sterile. Passion without love is corrupt. It is possible to have both, and in infinite shades and degrees.
No Clair Forlani stole the scene from this two great actors. One finds himself herself itself fixated at her face. She’s got the “it” that even the Angel of Death can’t resist her extraordinary beauty. Of course she complements Brad Pitt that shown brightly with her!
I fell in love with Brad Pitt's innocence in this film. He says thank you for loving me, thank you when she kisses him and thank you when they make love. So innocent and beautiful.
Heart wrenching, emotional scene when she finally realizes who he is and what's happening. The angel of death wants the woman he now loves and the world she lives in but can't have it. She loves the man who is the angel of death but can't have him. The acting and the music scores in this movie are incredible
What a true masterpiece of a movie. So underrated! The actors did amazing and made the audience feel all the raw emotions. She knew he was death and decided she would keep him as Joe to ease her mind. ❤️😪
She knew he was death and that she was not prepared to go with him, yet she loved him, and would always remember him as her "Joe". Death accepted this with a wistful, wan smile, and was so noble here; as he further showed in soon after giving her what she had in the coffee shop.
This story is so brilliant because it is just incredible to imagine a person so loving and pure, she could find out he was Death and still love him for who he was. And Death was able to experience love. What a romantic story and so beautifully acted!
@@sharoleburch5426 Death gave her a beautiful parting gift. Someone who looks like himself and who always had a crush on her. Yes, he’s awkward and even naive. But he looks like Joe. She can be happy with him.
This is definitely one of my favorite movie scenes of all time because it expresses the authentic nature of love. If you truly love someone, that love continues on, forever, interminably. It doesn't matter if you are separated from the person in life or death.
This scene is heartbreaking, but also terrifying. She fell for the real Joe at the beginning of the movie. The reaper innocently went along with it and fell in love with her. She is ready to leave everything behind and run away with him. And Joe realizes her father is right, there is no way she could understand what that would mean for her. So he forces her to really see him for what he is, and she can’t quite get there. That change from love to horror is so well acted.
He will love her for the rest of his life. In Joe’s case that is literally for eternity. Even if every human being dies, every animal and plant dies there are still other worlds. And even if those worlds have no life the sun’s live, planets live, galaxies live; time lives and he will still be in love with her. EDIT: Not until time itself comes to an end will Joe stop loving her…
To lose her father and be forever separated from her love in the same night...in the same 10 minutes...that would be such a hard night to live through.
