This was a really amazing review, I loved all of it! But I don't agree about the whole Manual Transmission thing, I just don't care about them, in any way whatsoever.
I like how you compare certain aspects of the car to other cars (steering, throttle response, etc.). However, you loose a lot of credibility when you pronounce this iconic brand incorrectly. It clearly has nothing to do with 'Poor'(sh) people! Lastly, although I have not yet driven a 488, it is my understanding that it has noticeably better throttle response than the 991.2 S. Furhtermore, regarding interior plastics and fit/finish, I would say that that 458 feels much cheaper inside than the 991, whatever their comparative materials may be...

Being Swiss and thus speaking perfect German, I can assure you that I know how to pronounce Porsche properly :-) Many people say "Porsh" in English I guess and so do I. Technically, you are right though :-)! I have driven both and from my experience the 488 is slightly slower to get into boost... Both are really impressive from a throttle response perspective when they are at the right RPM though! The 488 is such a beast! I agree on your last comparison, the interiors on Porsches are absolutely top-notch (new Panamera, damn!), Just didn't like the "aluminum" on the 991.2!

You also mentioned a lot of improvement in 991.2 porsche and this is really a unprecedented car. Actually a lot of people just like loud noise but didn't drive fast at all while keeping complaining it's not loud enough. Great review and wish all the best to you.

This car is actually fitted with the "silver" trim. Painted plastic. Aluminum is an option though, if I remember correctly. Unfortunately the silver stuff looks mighty cheap, but I still think it is one of the best interiors out there!
You mentioned 2016 Model but at 420 Hp with that larger screen & vertical grill on the rear. Its a 2017 model. The 2016 has only 400 hp and compared to 2017 its a total different car cause the 2017 has turbo already.

Last time I checked - and that was 30 seconds ago, the PDK - manual sales were ca 60% PDK, 40% manual for the 911, and some time ago for the Boxster/Cayman, it was even closer to 50-50. Can everybody please stop pretending now that a Porsche with a manual box is like a fucking unicorn or something? I am getting that from the largest European Porsche forum owner polls. Also, the manual is the default in all Porsche sports cars, PDK is the option, not the other way round. So yeah, Porsche keeps making manuals because almost 1 in 2 opts for the manual...

As true or false as that may be, several Porsche models that are of highest interest to many, have become PDK-only (GT3 RS and 911 Turbo/Turbo S). Not many manuals in the classifieds anywhere either, which does indicate a certain trend towards PDK, especially post 991 generation. That said, and as stated in the video, let's keep our fingers crossed for more manual Porsches... especially in the GT category! We simply love manuals!

Low end torque to me feels like you have not earned it!!

I see what you mean. In Europe we define the year of the car by the year of immatriculation, hence, 2016. In the States it would be a 2017 model.
