This song is like the polar opposite to the Weasels' song, 'Secret of Survival.' That song was about how everyone should be selfish and only look out for themselves (And, ironically, that viewpoint was what actually led to the Weasels' downfall), but this song, in turn, is about how friends need to look out for each other and rely on each other, which is why they win!
Even if you are not a fan of this film, you must admit, one thing that is so impressive is how many British comedy actors and actresses appear in the same film. I mean this film had actors from Monty Python, Blackadder and The Young Ones all in the same film as each other.
I guess this is sorta the British equivalent to America's 'The Princess Bride'. A great family film both kids and adults can enjoy equally. And one where once watched as a child can be watched years later as an adult.
I loved this film as a kid. I remember watching it in school as most of us Millenials did 😂 And completely agree re Cats... I personally didn’t watch it because the cgi made it looked horrendous. This is an amazing movie... captures the stories of your childhood and the characters are clearly human but you know what animals they are portraying. Even the simple thing like giving the weasels sunglasses because they are nocturnal x little details like this make this movie perfect xxx❤
@sraphael I've seen at least four different versions of this film and I think this was the best! (Having said which, it was a different type to the others - those were animated, whereas this uses real people.)

This film offers a marvelous counterpoint to the flop that is Cats. Minimal makeup, but evoke the animal with the power of suggestion!

Terry Jones as toad did it absolutely perfect. He based it on the book and the ride at Disneyland

I remember this playing on masterpiece theater when I was a kid. This version of the tale is one me and my sis will neeeevah eeeevah forget.
