- On 9 April 2005, Prince Charles, Prince of Wales married Camilla Parker-Bowles in a civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall, after which a Church of England Service of Prayer and Dedication was held after the service at St George's Chapel. This footage shows the newly married couple, Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall emerging from St George's Chapel to greet well-wishers waiting outside. Also present in the footage are Queen Elizabeth II; Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh; Charles' sons, Prince William and Prince Harry; Prince Andrew, Duke of York and his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie; Princess Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex; Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, and others.

It's just sad how his life evolved and how much hurt and pain was during the turmoil. Diana once said that this is a marriage of three people involved. This is what happens when people are forced into marriages to produce children into the royal family, all were hurt by this process. Can't force Love, it has to come from within!

Yes, you are right Camilla is the nasty girlfriend but Prince Charles was a coward. He never loved Diana (that's what he said, that he did not know what love was) but just did what he was told to do. Produce a child! I wish he would pass the King duties to his son so he could take over. I thought that Charles and Diana's wedding was so beautiful, I even woke up early to watch the wedding. It felt like the Cinderella story but became a nightmare with Camilla in the picture. Nasty that's all I could say about these two. Camilla fell in love with Charles many years ago. He was told he could never marry her because she was divorced and to do his duty in an arranged marriage. He did so, even though neither he or Diana wanted to marry each other by the time their marriage came. They were both forced into it by their families. Both were dreadfully unhappy but produced to heirs. Camilla called off any romance with Charles when he married and encouraged him to make it work. After Diana had her second affair Charles went into a deep depression. Worried friends called Camilla begging her to call him as she was the only one who might get through to him. She did so. The Queen finally gave them permission to divorce. Before Diana’s death she gave an interview where she said their marriage didn’t break up because of Camilla, but instead it was the people around them. Poor Camilla did nothing wrong in all if this.
Get over it. Let them be happy and do what they want and live their lives how they choose to.
And Diana will never know what real love and happy mariage is.

Sadly many misunderstand Camilla but thank God she is strong. And it’s her strength and loyalty to Charles which gains her many admirers. The Dianna fiasco wasn’t her fault. Dianna, lovely as she was, wasn’t suited to this high office. It was a mismatch right from the very beginning in which Charles did his best. And whilst the people adored Dianna, she was too friendly towards them and this played havoc with her emotions. Whereas the Queen kept her cool by being ultra conservative. Whereas dear Dianna didn’t do this. She wanted to dangerously dance with the people to prove her love for them and hug them. And this left her nothing in reserve. She became wrecked emotionally and Charles understandably was at his wits end. Who wouldn’t be. Without Camilla as a friend he might have been destroyed too. If Dianna could have played a conservative role like the Queen, instead of being all over the people like a rash, the marriage might have had a chance, because Charles wouldn’t have needed the friendship of Camilla to keep his act together. But many don’t see it this way. They don’t realise that Camilla really deeply cared for Charles with only his best interests at heart and she was trying to get him through the storm. Thank God she succeeded.

Would have loved to hear Prince Philip's comments on this day. He stepped down a few steps to take a good look at the "blushing bride" he knew what those new teeth had cost for Charles. Was that an official national expense ? Let them go back to gardening their field of expertise. Such a nerve to call Diana a barbie doll. This nasty old woman did everything to undermine that marriage. No wonder Harry says she is a threat to the safety of his family. She has endured decades of utter bile and malicious gossip without a murmur of complaint to the press or tell-all, poor-me interviews. Celebrities have topped themselves for much milder criticism. All for the man she loves.
She has no personal ambitions, which makes her the ideal consort and support for Charles. She has more than proved her worth over the years. They're visibly still in love, bring out the best in each other, and make each other at ease.
Diana could never do that. Being beautiful and coquettish with a coy glance might be the children's book idea of a princess but in the real world a rather different set of personality traits are needed for royalty to succeed.
