Thanks gramps, ❤4rmZambia 🇿🇲, for some reason I always imagine your wisdom coming from a dilapidated cabin in a mashy swamp, teaching little african kids like me, with the dead silence of the night, crickets, crocodiles bathing in the moonlight and here is this majestic old white seer in a cramped space with a lot of kids zoned in..🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉, here is for you gramps
Hey gramps. I feel like I wanna start welding after I get out of high school and I feel like I’ll really enjoy it. It pays well and seems enjoyable. I hope one day I get to meet a girl that I’ll get to spend my life with like you did. You’re the best person I’ve found on TH-cam because your videos are so helpful. Thank you.
Good luck to you young man. My 19 yo graduated with his electrician journeyman license and works on homes that need repaired due to mines. He is fixin to get his plumbing license. Check with a school counselor and see if your school has any programs or knows of any that would work for you.
People need to listen to this man and all he posts. It’s not often that a person with wisdom shares that wisdom. I watch a bunch of his videos and haven’t seen one thing that I disagree with. My favorite one is the 90/10, if ya know ya know 👍🏼
@user-ex8xf9fr7u There’s plenty of opportunity out there. Trades are booming and a lot of kids don’t want to work hard so there’s plenty of room to move up and own your own business. The world has definitely changed but the fundamentals are still the same.
Yes I completely agree ...so many psycologist on YT telling us useless advises in more than an hour boring videos and this incredible and so wise man helps so much as he touches heads and hearts as an arrow. ...@wasntme3651
Teaching is a little hard to me right now because I have gout disease, I don't know what can I do know for living. I love to have my private small hotel or room for rent with 10 or 20 rooms, so I can do the management everything and every day.
That is quite amazing! it's honestly so sad that couples can't work together through their situations and just give up. i know that's not the case for all. It's rare to hear/see couples together for 10+ yrs.
I’m on south myrtle beach right now. It’d be awesome to meet you. I watch all your videos and it’s inspirational to watch and learn what you talk about thank you!
I’m so glad I found you! My husband had a 25yr career…. Flying cobras, Blackhawk and transitioned to the C-12. We’re going on 41yrs, loved every minute of it! Cheers!
I stumbled on your TH-cam shorts and subscribed right away. I wanted to fly too ever since I was a very young kid. Was told I wasn’t smart enough by my 5th grade teacher. By 16 I was flying. By 17 I had my private by 23 I was an airline pilot. I’m 39 now. Captain on an A320. The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know about most things. Thanks for all your advice you give
My Dad, god bless his soul, was a Vampire Jet batman in Rhodesia. Oh boy did he hate whirlybirds 😂. They terrified him. Your not getting me in one of them he'd say. He was infantry at 1st but he got a landmine injury and had to find something else. I wish we had stayed in Rhodesia sometimes so i could visit his mates and talk about him with them. I have no one here in Edinburgh Scotland who knew him then to talk with. I thank you kindly for jogging my memory sir. 😊
I'm 78. A job you enjoy is more important than the money. Don't live for your job, live for family!!!!! I didn't, worked 50/60 a week, all the overtime I could, worked holidays for even more money. Can't explain the pain I have not spending it with family. Some gone some have their own life.
he is so right … I was lucky enough to do something I liked for work just about right out of high school. My first job was a forklift operator in a warehouse then when the company moved away 5 years later I got into a job that I am still doing at age 70 ! In high school I loved drafting so after the forklift job I got a job doing drafting. Back then it was pencil on paper and when Computer Drafting first started I was hooked. I am a Mechanical CAD Designer and literally love what I do and never even had thought of going back to school to be an Engineer. Since COVID I have only had to go into the office 3 days a week and work from home the rest. It is not like I need the money but I just love what I do and the pay and benefits are fantastic !
Yes they are I was doing this for my dad and the cemetery it was miracle on it I couldn't believe it it was so beautiful to me and peace full there thank you Dave I love you 💋❤️
Thank you for your service to this country and most importantly, sharing your wisdom with everyone! 100% agree about finding something(positive) one loves and just doing it and doing it well for as long as possible! Great inspiration indeed!
I am so glad I found your channel - this is what I needed to hear. I love math - with a passion - and want to teach it. I am currently working in a government job that pays very well - I don't hate it - but I dont love it either. If I were to take this job as a math teacher, my salary would literally be slashed by a little under 50 percent. But I would be happier do what I love - I just know it.
Well, I would pay all my bills and not make anymore bills than you have to. Save, save save save or you'll regret it. You can always volunteer teach. I wouldn't give up my good paying job. They're hard to get. My
Save for it and emergencies. We all know how prices have gone up. Good luck to you in your choices. I commend you in wanting to teach. It isn't like it used to be. I see middle school girls wearing what looks like flannel pajamas and actually see some wearing house slippers. Language today is mmmm, on the raunchy side.
I'm going to have my 24 yr old daughter watch this. She just lost her job she was at for 2 yrs. Found out they bullied her. That's not acceptable. Told her I'm glad she's not there anymore. She deserves better. She never called in sick, always there on time, stayed til closing. Thanks Grandpa for posting this. You are a wise man ☺️👍
This video should come with a caveat. A job that doesn't provide happiness but provides money and stability to get happiness in other aspects of life etc. but if you're in a job that really makes you miserable every day then yes it might be worthwhile to look at alternatives
Hello Gramps, I hope you’ll have a chance to read this! I wanted to tell you that I appreciate your help that you’re giving to the community. You are a wonderful, kind, wise human being, I hope I’ll reach your age to inspire young people just like you are doing right now. You’ll continue to be an inspiring energy for thousands of years to come. And, when people will check your videos, be sure that they will say good words about you, because you make our lives better with your words. I couldn’t say less, but I’m thankful to GOD that made me live this day and hear your words. I’m not from the US, but still I must say thank you for your service Sir 🫡 🇦🇱 🇺🇸 And, I pray to ALLAH that HE continues to bless your soul. Have a great day dear Gramps, we love you!
I unfortunately wasted 21 years staying loyal to a machine shop that discarded me when my life took a turn for the worse at 42 years old and wouldn’t even allow me to get unemployment. So now I work for UPS full time loading trucks. I started over at 42. Doing an incredibly physical job that people half my age can’t do for 4 hours. I do it for 9 hours a day 5 days a week. is it because my body is special? Nope. It’s because I fucking love my job. I wish I listened to people older than me when I was younger. If I had joined the union at 20, instead of taking that other job, I’d be retiring right now. But when you’re 20, you think you know everything. I’m also in a place where I have to fix my fucking credit just to find an apartment. Something else I could’ve avoided if I just listened to my elders.
Ironically, I just left a 6 figure career because after 14 years of doing something that paid well, but made me miserable, I couldn't do it anymore. I start my new career tomorrow making much less so hopefully it works out. 🤞
Same here! The only difference I quit the corporate world! Wishing you all the best in your new venture, being happy is more important making lots of money and being unhappy.
