I think that Captain America meant more in-terms of fighting abilities, tactical abilities and survival instinct. Although MCU Iron Man ain't that bad as shown in his third movie, he did not need Captain America to train him like in the comics. Gawd, the MCU does not make sense sometimes.

@@insertnamehere2746 actually, we don't know that. The only time Tony tried was in Age of Ultron. I'd argue that by the time of Endgame Tony was probably just as, if not more worthy than Cap. But well never know, because he never tried to call Mjolnir to himself like Cap did, (which Cap probably only tried to save Thor, and otherwise wouldn't have) and what reason would he, anyway? He's always relied on his own tech, and I doubt even if he could call Mjlonir to him he would.

And yeah Cap lied but then again Odin did not say liars are unworthy. He put the spell on Mjolnir because Thor was going to unjustly cast violent judgement against the frost giants. He lacked leadership and EMPATHY for his enemies, two qualities that ROGERS has and STARK does not have. You have to be a great leader to lift mjolnir and be a trusted "king of asgard". Tony is so consistently irresponsible I would not trust him to be the king of my sand castle on spring break

Food for thought if you were to take away Steve super serum he’s technically an boy with a lot of health issues, but he has an good heart that’s why the doctor who helped Howard Stark come up with the serum chooses him to become Captain America. As for Tony he’s all those things he says and that’s what makes him selfish it wasn’t until much later he slowly starts to realize this and gradually begins to correct it.
