Great hack! Been using ceramic wax on my vehicle paint for just over a year and very impressed, so I'll definitely being treating the toilets the same. On older toilets, rust or calcium stains often originate in the toilet tank. Draining the tank and cleaning with a product like CLR will clean the interior of the ceramic tank. A ceramic wax coating should aid inside the tank also.
Love the idea. Have you tried this on the bathtub around the sides on the inside? You may not want to put it on the floor of the tub but this may really help stop the ring around the tub.
Same here. I just applied a ceramic coating to my toilet bowl and decided to check TH-cam to see if it was a good idea or not. How well has yours held up?
Should you apply second coat right after 1st dries( 15-20mins )? Or wait a few days? Also, you only have to re-apply once every year? Thanks for the great tip! Let you know how it works 🤗
AWESOME!!! One would still need to mist a disinfectant inside and round the rim of the toilet and either use wipes or spray and paper towel the to dry off, I would say spray the disinfectant everywhere then dry the rim and then the seat and then flush and do this once a week unless something major happens, thus keeping the kamode disinfected except for the rim and seat which should be done once a day especially if big family. This ceramic coating will help keep it from becoming nasty for longer periods of time.
What was the rest of the video? mine cut off when you started saying something about your young children like we do... boom gone... Thank you. I think it's a great idea and I will buy that turtle Wax ceramic coating for sure! Muchas gracious! Sorry. I'm Southern.
I was so excited to see the video and really hope it would work. Unfortunately, i got a brand new 1-week old toilet and tried to apply 3 coats of Turtle Wax for ceramic spraying coating all the way to the end of the bowl, and followed everything to the T. It does work to prevent the water from sticking to the bowl (so minimize water stains) but that's about it. Shixx still sticks to the bowl and i still need to clean the toilet bowl regularly.
ETA 4 months later: This seemed to be the perfect solution to the hard water toilet ring and general mess, but unfortunately, I have to clean the toilets just as often and now I have the problem that I can't use pumice to get the ring off because I don't want to scratch the coating and make an even bigger (non-fixable) mess. So I guess I have to just let it wear off. Is there a way to remove this coating? After watching your fabulous how-to that brought this product to my attention and this use, I tried it first on a sink and WOW!!! We use homemade toothpaste with clay and coconut oil and what a MESS it makes twice a day! And your hack WORKED ON IT, the SINK IS CLEAN with just a rinse! It's only been a few days, but the result was so amazing I just did 2 of our 3 toilets. We have hard well water and those are always a mess, too, so I'm really looking forward to the result. (By the way, I used a soft "Johnny mop" that I use to clean the toilets to plunge out the water) THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

I have a hanging cleaner on my toilet, it releases a bleach solution with every flush. now and then there are some things that still stick to the sides of the bowl. The coating seems likt it would do away with that but wondering if the bleach solution would slowly eat away with the ceramic coating. Thanks for the video.
Hello. Yes. Bleach is a caustic solution that will reduce the product efficiency quickly. Most manufacturers do not recommend the tank style cleaners as they degrade the tank components. Thanks for the comment!!
It will stay, but not as long because vinegar is a mild acid. I wouldn't recommend vinegar to clean porcelain as it will strip the finish with repeated use.
Great tip. I have tried everything on a toilet for removing mildew to include a pumice stone to remove hard water etching. The mildew continues to occur right where the hard water line is. Will this product help with this effort? On another note, I have a metal spot showing in my porcelain tub. It appears where the anti-slip process failed. Rust appears as water does not drain off. I am currently not using the tub so it stays dry. Other than replacing the tub, do you have any ideas.
Hello. This product will only work on toilets if the porcelain is in good condition and still retains its original finish. As for your bathtub, I would recommend a local company to come refinish it. It's a quick, easy process that takes a few hours for them to complete. Best of luck!
Regarding the mildew/mold I watched someone teach how to flush the toilet lines with bleach; that's where the problem originates, but I don't recall what channel. I think if you search for a fix for mold in the toilet you'll find it.
Is this safe for septic tanks? I assume the wax gradually washes off and gets flushed down into the septic tank. I know not much wax is used, but I am thinking in abundance of caution here.
I have ranew Toto toilet, but getting the same nasty skid marks and a water ring , like the old one had _ hard water being the culprit. Just remove the seat and coat that area as well. Now you can buy e z removable toilets seats. You never get those clean without removing them anyways. Now you can... with the right seat.
How about the size of your bathtub. Not the bottom cuz it'd be slippery or how about shower doors I was thinking Rain-X but the hot water would probably rinse it away
Hello. It will definitely work for ceramic or porcelain tub surrounds. Not sure if I'd try it on glass. The Rain-X might be a good idea but will probably be short lived from all the soap and heat.
Absolutely safe. Its ceramic properties adhere to the porcelain. Safer than harsh cleaning chemicals, bleach and narcotics flushed down the tubes daily.
@@A_90210 it’s ceramic component is silicon dioxide which is used as a food additive. I don’t know what else is in it but I would guess applying this once or twice a year adds far fewer chemicals into our water supply than weekly cleaning.

Honey, I'm busy buffing the toilet. Great stuff. Can't wait to give it a try.
Toilet manufacturers need to start making their products with super hydrophobic surfaces, inside the tank, as well.
I use it on all the faucets and doorknobs. Bathroom counter.
