I really appreciate you calling out Niantic for how poorly GBL is. Working on my legend run (mid 2900s) but I have an android and the lag and frame drops are making it incredibly hard to stay motivated. Every game I lose turns or cant throw charge moves or get kicked from the match completely.
I'm on a 2 week old S24 without extra apps. (Just calcy and genie) And it's so painful losing to frame drops. There were at least 2 games I played this evening that were determined by frame drops. I haven't even bothered to learn 1 turn moves because the phone I had prior was years old
I've been having an issue with charge attacks not triggering when I press the button. Sometimes it seems like I've lost CMP against something I shouldn't but it turns out it just hasn't registered at all, and that's without frame drops
Are we talking same-turn moves or just in general? If you and your opponent are running the same-turn of fast moves, when counting yours you always have to account for sneaks unless your opponent is throwing on CMP. Just make sure you're watching the animation and you'll tell if they're getting that extra move through or not. As long as you're keeping track of your moves and accounting for sneaks (which in many cases is inevitable) then you shouldn't have much of an issue tracking your opponents' energy or their move counts.
I don't know if you ever checked it out, but under advanced settings there's several check boxes that make my game run incredibly smooth. Turn off enhanced graphics, turn on native refresh rate, get on wifi and download all assets, and turn off reactive movement. I never experience frame drops.
I've done all four of those things from the get-go and I still get 1-turn lag and frame drops regularly. I'm sure they help but, depending on your phone, they're certainly not nearly enough.
I use Apple and had frame drops and hard lags all night. A few matches my screen froze for a good 10-15 seconds and when it came to my Pokemon was knocked out or came back to have the option to shield or not while going from green to red.
Hey AXN any tips on how to efficiently check ivs and mass transfer pokemon? I have pokegenie so i can screenshot or screen record and then do it but I just find it very tedious and as a result my box is always full and I never catch pokemom for candies besides ones from my daily sets. Thanks.
It's both... My last phone this game lagged so bad I couldn't play...I have a better phone now n it only lags now sometimes...it's mostly Niantic tho, they are putting so much enhanced graphics n dumb biomes which all slow the game up
Honestly can't even play the game . I lag so bad on my android. They get off an extra 3 moves or more atleast 3 times during each battle. It's a guarantee lose for me

How do ya’ll practice counting the moves?! I can only count mine but not the enemy’s😢

What iPhone Are u using? I play on a iPhone 12 in europe, I rarely if ever experience any lag what so ever
I had lag just like that...I just bought a $50 cheap phone n don't get too much lag now 😮
Also use a newer iPhone and get significant frame drops. Don’t think it’s isolated to android

Tried the team as well. The sheer number of Skarmory and Annihilape teams and hard counters I ran into means I went 6 and 14. Looove that.
My S23 has so many frame drops and lag issues.
Tho I do find turning on airplane mode and connecting to my local wifi helps a little 🤏
