Honestly I love the new va’s, Keith gave Husk an even more mature aura, he maked him go from just a gambler alcoholic to that but in a more complex way, like now I actually feel that Husk is gonna be an important character, and Blake’s job as Angel has been so far my favorite bcuz you don’t feel like they have changed the va, you feel like is the same amazing(and gorgeous😍) character of the pilot in a way that it’s so satisfying and so well done that you don’t notice, also the singing voice was fabulous, I could feel Angel’s emotions in such a palpable way that I immediately sympathize, such a wonderful work IM SO EXCITED!!!😭🫶🏽
I'm sorry, but Angel's new VA is by FAR the most dramatic change aside from Husk's. Michael Kovach just had such a unique and unmistakable accent and delivery for the performance. Not saying Blake Roman did it worse, it's just the most different from the pilot. Husk was definitely an upgrade from the pilot VA, I mean it's fuckin Keith David after all, but Angel is more of a lateral shift.

Keith David referencing the Cool World and Fritz The Cat cartoons is so real, Hazbin has the spirit of that with a modern spin and a look unique to its creator and world.

His performance for the first 4 episodes really shows he respects the show, and embodies the character. When he let Angel’s real human voice break through for a second during Poison, I broke.

Kieth David is the perfect casting for Husk. It was great to see him and Angel open up, connect, and become friends. Loser, Baby is my favorite song or of all of the excellent songs. Can't wait for season 2!

The streams thr voice actors participated in also made people enjoy the actors more which only grew their fondness. However once the show came out and the voice actors got replaced, people hate it because it’s not the voices THEY knew and grew to love over the years. People hate change, change is scary, they can either sit and make their peace with it or others will lash out because of it
Hell, I say the new voice actors give more life into the show. These new ones could eventually give off the feeling that they all care for one another. Also, I say Poison was better than Addict just for the fact that you can actually hear Blake Roman's voice clearly when he's singing while Addict had that autotune bullshit

Keith David is honestly one of my favorite actors. I loved him in Call of Duty as Sgt Foley, Arbiter in Halo, I'm excited to hear him as Zavalla in Destiny 2, (Rest in piece Lance Redick, I'm still sad and crying over his passing tbh with you all). He's pretty damn awesome as husk, and I loved him in Princess and The Frog and so many more films and such he's been apart of. A wonderful actor and a wonderful man.
The fact that Keith David voices Spawn - the OG demon badass - powerful, but broken and enslaved - and that Husk is also a demon ex-Overlord who also turns broken and enslaved - like - who better to cast!

Speaking as someone who loves the new VAs just as much as the old, I think it's just kinda sad to see the project move on without the people that made it successful enough to get where it is in the first place.
At times i do miss the pilot voices , but we know that it was what the show could have been . Once the series did drop its brilliant. The character seem to be more live more realistic and grow in their own way . Especially Husk and Angel Dust Husk was an alcohol loner and Angel Dust was just looking out for himself . Now the two have changed definitely for the better ❤
I love Keith so, so much but it's kinda weird to me they're the ones being interviewed? It makes sense but I'd like to know more about how they were brought onto the cast, if they saw the original pilot and so on? Then again, this *is* Screen Rant and we know how their content works

Husk is so perfectly casted, even if I loved the old voice, I love the new one so much and with angel it's the same
All the new VAs are better with the exception of Alastor and Pentious
