@@capobilotti no sounds stored in those 2 kb though :) but im impressed as hell that it is even possible to make the SID chip sound as good as it did. I mean if you listen to the early SIDS the difference is insane.
If this was an original composition I was hearing,I would have said "This is an amazing, atmospheric slab of heavy metal. I need this on my ipod". The fact that it's one of my all time favourite pieces of music reworked through my favourite style of music since the days of listening to the c64s SID tunes, certifies this even higher in my books. Its blasting outta my headphones every day. I love what you did with it. Id love to hear the central park loader music get a metalworks makeover.
Absolutely breath taking. This sound reminds me of 90's metal. Kinda reminds me of Type O negative (RIP Peter \m/). Studio quality stuff here. I wish more remixers sounded this damn good.

Thanks. It was only one guy though, me on guitars and the rest is programmed.

The more I listen to this, the more it sounds like you guys were having a damn good time playing it. Still an awesome remake...one of the best of any song anywhere.
P U R E magic! im så fkn glad that i was born when starwars came (obviously not) but born 77.. well we all were kids in the 80s and early 90s. and LN 1 and 2 were magic in terms of tunes.. and the remedy mix and this! so fkn aswome! go last ninja go!
Nearly all the best chip composers were from the UK writing just inspirational stuff but no surprise as look at the music history over the last few decades from that country. Even the C64 composers were brilliant and you folks in making a remix pays them hommage and justice. Nice remix ;-)
I love the way it sounds at 2.53- that chunky bad-ass palm mute riff leading into a seriously eerie, scary synth breakdown. It works brilliantly with guitar and synth. Fantastic playing on the fade out starting at the 5 minute mark, aswell. Killer lead guitar over the riff- and I love how you shred out the powerchords at the end! When I hear this, I imagine Glen Tipton from Judas Priest rip out the solo, and headbanging alongside him on rhythm guitar is the one and only James Hetfield.
There is a guy around here who plays keys at wedding parties. Sometimes he has some freaking moves on the keyboard while playing. Everytime I listen to this cover I imagine that, that guy is playing this tune at the wedding parties...
Your covers are awesome... can't wait for other! I like your solo tone, how you set delay and reverb for it? You add it after recording or directly while recording? thx for the answer!
I don't know exactly what part you're meaning. But generally, I might be more used to changing tempos/beats because of my background (thrash/death/heavy metal). That's the answer I guess :)
This totally deserves a 1080 HD reupload...
Sure as hell! This is classic.
One of the all-time best game tunes and this new metal version makes many metal bands pale in comparison...
I hate the game for it's difficulty. But imagine this music was limited to some 2KB of RAM.
