Blast from my past , it never gets old the catalyst that exploded all the music that's now played today it is a major influence of all of this new generation is going back to ours backysrd in the 80s and drawing from it and coming out with good compilations today. Hip hop old schoo willl never die.
Excellent jams from back on the days the early , mid 80s. Our time , our era we understand what we lived our teens the old school way. I'm 53. I'm glad I lived that era . Another time another era.
Dam what an era! This absolutely put me back in time…watching my brother make “tapes” for my cousins to cruise too in the alpine tape deck. Woofers in the back seat , numerous noise complaints…sooo many dope memories. My parents would go bananas from the bass. My brother dj’d and had 4 stacked ev 15’s stacked and started to crack the ceiling lol man I wish I could turn back time. But I thank you for this moment to reflect ❤️🙏🏼
this was our age our music a lot of the young people might not find it all that hip but for everything they listen to today this is where it started....
Maaaaannn this takes me back. I was there! Late 70's early 80's. Beatboxes and sample machines were coming into their own and A LOT of these mixes were done almost exclusively with samplers. NUFF RESPECT to da pioneers. ESPECIALLY my fav's "The Latin Rascals"

I also have a prized collection of over 100 audio tapes devoted to Old Skool Hip Hop thanks to rec from stations like 2JJJ and 2SER. I was one of those effervescent Bboys u would see in battles at the front of Hoyts Cinema at George St lockin, poppin and breakin on the large cut out cardboard jamming to my dads Getto blaster which I would "borrow" on weekends. Yup, dem werr the dayz! Peace
