Sunpower flex panels show severe sundamage before 3 years. Surface gets damaged by UV. Surface layer starts to crumble like all bad plastics do.
No warranty. Rip off. Environmentally very bad. Need to.replace every other year.

There are numerous "flex" panels made that incorporate Maxeon/SunPower solar cells. Many are made with inappropriate types of encapsulants and/or top film. Those will certainly degrade as you describe. I'm pretty sure, however, that the panels actually made by Maxeon/SunPower are made with more appropriate encapsulants/top films and they carry a 5 year power/2 year product warranty.
