"All aperture science personality constructs will remain functional in apocalyptic, low power environments of as few as 1.1 volts." Almost, almost perfect
Well we could just chalk that up to being a special potato, I mean it did come from a plant the size of a house so I mean, is a potato that powers an extra .1 volt that hard to believe?
Fun fact: The youtuber, Basically Homeless managed to power a computer FOR 15 WHOLE SECONDS using potato power. How he did? he made potato cells by boiling potatoes, mashing them, then laying them on a sheet of copper that was taped down, covered the mash in plastic wrap, mashed it more, then put the other zinc part on it to finish the cell, he did that about 5 times i think, and had some more smaller cells. Then wired it up, connected it to a small dead portable charger to charge it, then left for a few weeks on his honeymoon, when he came back, the potatoes rotted but still where charging the battery. He left it for maybe 2 more weeks, and then unplugged it and pluged it into the smallest computer possible with the keyboard unplugged until the computer finished turning on then it died seconds later before he could do anything.

@@megatroid7083 so then 0.5x5? that's just 2.5V, luckily the Teensy board only requires 2.7v, so on the generous side, it would be barely possible in real life. not taking into account the required additional power for the AI to properly run(assuming GlaDOS was built from Tensorflow) edit: should mention this is Teensy 2.0 I'm talking about, not the modern Teensy 4.0
Remember that GLaDOS can fully run on only 1.1 volts, and probably on less with reduced functionality (such as not having anything but her eye on and only thinking/speaking in short bursts).
"All Aperture Science personality constructs will remain functional in apocalyptic, low power environments of as few as 1.1 volts." Also the potatoes that were growing around the facility had some sort of adaption to them. If you read Chell's potato report it says that she added a special ingredient from her father's workplace at Aperture. Maybe that did something to the potato that makes it produce more volts?
well I do believe PotatOS is possible since the announcer says that everything in aperture could be powered by 1.1 volts. it would require an extra potato but yes it is technically possible. also the potatos in aperture are weird mutant ones
I'll explain how a potato battery works. Copper, and zinc are the two metals you'll need to actually make it, because Zinc wants to get rid of it's electrons, while copper wants to collect them. The Potato acts as the electrolyte, that allows this process to occur, and thus creating a potato battery.
GLaDOS maybe liked being a potato and turned herself into one after Portal 2 and it’s Coop, or maybe Wheatley came through the atmosphere and she did it to him instead.
How did you manage to make that hole below GLaDOS open and not be obstructed by the map's version? How did you make the thing where you put a core work? Can you send me the link to the map and the core thingy? Thank you! (I do have the pit thingy that is the thing below GLaDOS)
The construction? Absolutely, it's pretty much just a pair of boots with a support brace on it. The ability to protect the wearer from impacts at up to terminal velocity? No, that's impossible. It violates the equal and opposite law of physics. If something lands, it receives just as much force as it imparts, and two braces won't cancel out that force in any way. Well, they will, but not nearly to the extent that they do in the game.
@@deltainfinium869 Well, again, that's impossible to do with the long fall boots as they are and the technology we can conceive of - let alone have - in our age. But Aperture is so advanced that I could totally believe that, especially since all the test chambers are heat resistant due to the lasers.
PotatOS would be barley possible if the potato was boiled and were connected to the portal device, since boiled potatoes can produce up to 5x it's normal output.

potatOS is the closest thing to a living biological being glados has been in a long time
so it's weird how the GL was removed when she became a potato, considering the GL stands for "genetic lifeform"
