While it is definitely true that the homeless destruction should be a higher priority, it is still a relief by many local residents in PB who have been complaining for years about these classes disrupting the ability of those who live nearby to simply enjoy these beautiful beach cliff areas once in a while by just having a place to sit down without every square inch of the grass being taken by these guys yoga classes. To those living here this has been beyond annoying not just on occasion but consistently on a weekly basis for well over 10 years! These classes have gone way beyond just a nuisance and have turned a public area into something that is under the complete control of rogue yoga classes. Something should have been done to stop this years ago.

Donations accepted or required? If you can go for free and don't have to donate then it's free. If you have an option to donate then it's still "Free". For those who choose to donate are helping those who run classes. Question is should they pay taxes like everyone else or not, as opposed to completely shutting down "Free" events. Before I moved from Lincoln Park I was going to run Free classes for kids. I used my own money for equipment and also had some equipment that was donated. It would be FREE knowing kids and families in the area may not be able to afford a fee. But if any family could donate or any community members could donate i would've accepted that which would help grow the classes and opportunities with more equipment or additional class times. I don't think government should have a say in that. Especially when it's something that helps the community and it's citizens.

Bring the groups to the table, if they want to use the spaces, give them a way to compensate the public for it such as paying for permits or having them do beach cleanup. Just giving them a court date and putting the kibosh on any group activities is overreach and makes people afraid that they don't belong at the public spaces. Too few rules and it's havoc, too many rules and it's authoritarianism. It takes effort and just giving a shit to get it right.

You have homeless literally shitting in the street, criminals committing crimes unopposed but the line in the sand is drawn at yoga? WTF is wrong with California?
That 10.0 can’t come soon enough.

This is dumb! All of the problems the world has, and we’re going after free yoga classes. Freedom has a dim future. Yoga literally hurts no one, I see them outside every morning and it’s refreshing.

@@icecold8974 Absolutely they need permits. For food, they need to make sure people won't be poisoned. Just like any regular restaurant. Can you imagine if suddenly there were thousands of illegal businesses set up on the beach crowding out the public? If they don't need permits or permission, we can't stop them.

Concerning the yoga classes that are being enforced to stop by Park Rangers. If we look hard within the Declaration of Independence, you'll find more than one answer which will stop this in a heartbeat.

The declaration of Independence isn't a legal document that laws are based on... Do you mean the Constitution? And if so, what part specifically?
