I don't know what score threshold you have to fall under but it's possible to get literally no rewards in a match so why waste 10 minutes when you can quit that match and join one without that spear player in it as that players match would still be going.

Sneaky/assassin style characters, builds, and vehicles are the cancer of all multiplayer games. If you want to one shot things that have little counter play then play any single player game on its easiest settings. Being a "glass" cannon doesn't matter if you destroy other players instantly. Some games do this better then others but across the board most who don't enjoy this role hate those who do. Saying "the best players can deal with it well and good" is not an argument, its admittance that this style is unreasonably difficult for most people to play against and you have to be obsessed with the game to be good enough time to time. Big hitters that will one shot need a built in problem that requires their target to fuck up big time. Not so much based on skill alone but more on the targets failure to prepare. Never should this be based on RNG either. Fast and stealthy should come with a gorilla style warfare limitation. What I mean by this is you shouldn't just be allowed to get in and get out securely making tremendous impacts in any one attempt. This should result in little hits here and there. Small annoyances that build up into one big problem. I think this game should have stayed totally chaotic, as that was when it was most fun for me. However if they insist on making a balanced game then for the spears all they need to do is have reduced damage onto targets hit by multiple in a row from the same opponent. First one would do 100% dmg while the rest do 50% reduced dmg for example. I am sure what they had in mind was 1 or 2 spears anyway. They could also add armor pieces resistant to explosive weaponry whilst having reduced effectiveness against kinetic missiles as another example.
Spears need a modifier "backup weapon" these weapons can't be mounted as your only weapon type and can't activate until your other weapon is destroyed or out of ammo.
give spears explosion radius, so when one spear blows, the other spears take damage. enough explosions, and your lancelots are gone. another way to deal with it is give lancelots very little HP. now even if lancelot comes charging from the front, i shoot them with MG, maybe i take off one spear, and then get completely shorn to cab, or death. MGs are fairly effective against lancelots, since you can decloak them, and i think they should be even more so. MGs are good against shotguns and other short range weapons as well, since you can both decloak, aim, and shoot off their weapons at a safe distance. oh and btw, i call them lancers.
tip: when you're clinged onto an enemy with only hopes for him to die being your saw and someone is shooting at you just activate self destruct, you'll eat away the armor with the melee and hopefully explode in the enemy cabin's face before you get killed, putting yet another kill on your account
This is the equivalent of the razer rammers in robo craft that also have the stealth module and they are also op af. Except that if they do a successful one shotting run they don't have to stop they keep going till the entire enemy team is dead because their ramming energy swords never run out of power or juice.
Imagine everyone in your team would play this build. What would happen? And now you have the answer why it is a coward build. Not saying you are a coward, just the build.

The spears can be shot off before impacting. So really, its the enemy players not taking into consideration what the battlefield could be like. I try to hang off from "the pack" and watch people's backs. If someone comes close to them, I'll rush in guns blazing to take out their weapons. As for invisible players, sometimes there are telltale signs. You just have to pay attention.
I use cannons. I see one of those i make sure i m ready for self destruction and shoot at them spears. They simply should make them explode to all of the terrain like grandes, even you. And make them throwable for short distance. Yes they will be still powerful, but it has to be thrown at short distance which can be missed or harmful to you if too close.
I enjoyed the vid, especially the montage at the end - but tbh something needs to be done about stuff like this, the balance is totally whack, ie broken. There is almost no counter to this tactic and the damage is ridiculous. Only one victim spotted you in time and took all the lances off before you got to them. Nice to see drone users get 1 shotted tho :))
I stopped playing regularly after they started limiting how many of what you can build or adding invisible walls against flying builds. I liked the game because of how creative you could get. Rather then being creative and giving players tools to counter things they just remove capability or viability. Since I stated playing I felt they should make armor worth more. This game shouldn't be taken seriously, its too random and exploitable even after all the nerfs and changes. What they should do is focus and sell it as being chaos rather then competitive. They should sell it as quick games of relentless and punishing randomness. Some game you might feel awesome and others destroyed, but that doesn't matter cause you ca just hop into the next one and hope for a better roll.
there could be something done about the chameleon so you get more visual feedback as a cloaked enemy gets closer to you instead of just having to rely on track marks alone, but for everything else the spears don't seem too outrageous to be deserving another nerf now, it's just the invisibility module that makes them much more lethal. If you're really bothered by explosive spears I'd suggest learning all flank points, reducing the blind spots on your vehicle and sticking with the group so you have someone assisting you in the eventuality of a spear guy rushing B at you, every single time you see him dying or about to die in the video is when he jumps a car and ends up in the middle of the entire enemy team rendering his kill a trade bringing no real advantage to his teammates.
I'm new to the game (had it for like 2 days, lvl12 noob lol) and it seems like "melee" builds are extremely strong early on. If someone has one of the harvester things he basically dominates the match. Is this common in higher lvls? Like there's a certain build that's just extremely efficient compared to other builds?
easiest way to nerf it is for destroyed players to leave behind a damaged shell of their ship causing the spearer to hesitate after each kill. they would need to reverse off the carcass after each kill
I run a lance and harvester build it’s so much fun. But I only have 9 lances 😭In the future of you continue to play you can try separate your lances more so push more out on the build. For example have 2 lances lined up next to each other then another 2 but slightly shorter (closer to the cab) I found this saved my lances and on most days I can get a kill using 2 lances, provided you hit them well mostly on the cab. But yeah it should help you save more lances instead of losing them all on one kill. Great video and great montage at the end bro!
Could you stagger the installation of those spears? I don't play the game, but if you can, it might be a good way to prevent using excessive amount of them per target.
So I'm just starting out my crossout experience and I'm really enjoying myself, but this video really got me worried. I think the most obvious fix is they should do splash damage when somebody shots them down, so they would all destroy themselves in a chain reaction if you place so many of them. It'd make it fair in my opinion because it seems like you have just enough time to destroy one or two of them once you notice the enemy.
I think it would be better if you install the Cheetah engine to recharge the Chameleon faster while you running and a Gas Generator for more Lancelots xD. Also when the Firestarters faction comes, you can alternate the Cerberus cabin with the new Werewolf to use the Fuze drone that spawns after it dies.

Think you can be more effective with the lances just by mounting them on different positions .......so the length changes from spear to spear. You sometimes lost all 10 spears cause they nearly hit the same spot on the same time. Normally 4-5 lances are enough for a heavy armored build. Nope players cutting corners with no radar have no clue what color the name of the player is in front of them. Other is being close in stealth to allies means you come out with no name to see color.
i think boom stick's are good and should not use points but you should get a guy who rides with you that uses them so he has to jump around on the car and throw them and he is what costs the power points that way a blue will be a guy with light armor and once he's dead no more sticks but a purple you could get two or three use like a drone with cool down then maybe a gold so you get two to use at a time with some kin of bomb armor so he's harder to kill with back up's like drones. and the lance should belong to a new clan with stuff like steam engine, crossbow all the stuff they have few little changes and they would have a new facion i thought i heard there was a knights one but never heard anything after but there are parts in the game to say it was true

1st you gotta choose your playstyle then pick your fav weapon combination. You ready to go... I'll recommend you to go with fast non armored heavy damage dealing vehicle. The important thing is not supporting your teammates by doing little damage. The important thing is DEAL MAX DAMAGE TO ENEMY and when you gonna do that it's gonna be exactly same as supporting your team. By dealing max damage you'll be first in endgame and you will get great amount of exp. Put some decorations to your vehicle to increase reputation gaining. There is good setups I've been using you can dig in to my videos to get some ideas. That's it.
Cant you just put those poles each a little bit deeper than other ? So instead of losing almost ALL of poles in one hit, you will lose only those that will be required for kill, and rest will still be viable. Just askin I dont play this game I dont know the design of it
The recent nerve on Lancelots does not change a lot for normal Games. But it changes a lot to Clan Wars and makes Lancelots way worse. Clan Wars is still the "End Game" and taking Lancelots out there is sad in my opinion.

Recently I've started playing melee, using a Quantum, Apollo, Cheetah, Chameleon mk2, 14 Lancelots. It weighs in at just over 7k PS and is crazy fast and gets me 3 kills a game. Will be switching to the Cerberus cab when the prices drop!

i often run twin tsunami, and if i notice one of these, i shoot them just before they could hit me, and they lose all their spears.
