COFFEE Causing MAGNESIUM Loss?

- Love your daily coffee? It might come with a hidden cost. High caffeine intake from three or more cups of coffee daily can lead to magnesium loss-a crucial nutrient for heart health, bone density, and mood.
Don't worry, you have options! Next time you're at your favorite coffee spot, consider choosing a smaller size or switching to decaf. You can also increase your intake of magnesium-rich foods like nuts, seeds, and veggies.
But keep in mind, even with a healthy diet, it might still be tough to get enough magnesium. That's where our ionized magnesium supplement comes in, offering three forms of alkalizing magnesium to efficiently maintain your levels: alkalineforlife.com/products/...

Having an iced coffee as we speak when I saw this vid. I do really appreciate your educational videos however.
Daily coffee is fine! We just recommend not overdoing it!
Yes it happens to me. At younger years I can drink caffeine as much as I want. The past couple years I started to develop legs cramps at night and early morning. I don't drink coffee much but matcha green tea that's very high in caffeine. When stop drinking the cramps stop. I don't have issues with decaf. Clearly the caffeine strongly affects my magnesium at old age. I got the chelated magnesium glycinate before bed. That really helps
It's interesting how our bodies' responses can change over time! You've made a great observation about the impact of caffeine on magnesium levels, especially as we age. Caffeine does tend to increase magnesium excretion, which can lead to issues like leg cramps if those levels become too low.
Switching to decaf and finding that it helps mitigate these symptoms is a smart approach. It's great to hear that this has helped with your cramps. Thanks for sharing your experience; it could be very helpful for others noticing similar symptoms!
Hi Dr Susan.,
It's so nice to come across your channel. ,I like you already ! ❤
I have a question I hope you might answer please 😊
When you said two to three cups of coffee does that mean in a day or in a week?
Also... The magnesium that you you just showed in this video is that a product you sell if so do you have the link for that one ?
If you could answer these questions thank you ahead of time 🙏
( Even though green tea is great it still does have the caffeine )
EDIT : Hi., Dr Susan., never mind on the link for the magnesium I just saw it
Hi! Thanks for watching and for your kind words and support! Glad you found the magnesium link, all of our recommended products can be found at alkalineforlife.com! As for coffee we discuss daily intake, some coffee is fine, just try to not go over 1-2 cups a day - see our video here on coffee intake : th-cam.com/video/eYaZpDIrPvw/w-d-xo.html
it could also be sodium. I used to get cramps but it was because I was getting exposed to mold. Mold causes electrolyte imbalance.
Maybe because you do not drink enough water, that is why you're experiencing leg cramps. after drinking a cup of coffee try to drink a glass of water.
No caffeine for me! When I was a teenager, the Lord showed me (I didn't say you) a cup of black coffee and said, "Poison, Poison." I only had it occasionally at that time. I'm sure glad I obeyed ❤ love to you ❤ Thank you ❤
Hemp seeds and pumpkin seeds are packed with this mineral along with other minerals.
This is correct and what a great addition to add to your salads, stir-fries, yogurt and oatmeal.

If you are coffee addicted, try caffeine my way: a cup of joe in the morning, a black tea in with lunch, and green tea after noon. Less caff with no crash!
Its not just the caffiene , its the tannins in coffee or tea !
Coffee has anti oxidants 10x more than tea. Save it!
We agree a daily cup of coffee can be healthy and offer benefits, but over 3 can start to cause problems, as we discuss in our video here: th-cam.com/video/eYaZpDIrPvw/w-d-xo.html

How can I get your product to buy
You can find our products at Alkalineforlife.com !

I've heard you need magnesium to move calcium through your body.
Yes, that's correct! Magnesium plays a crucial role in managing calcium levels within the body. It helps with the transport of calcium across cell membranes, which is essential for proper muscle and nerve function, blood clotting, and bone strength. Additionally, magnesium is important for activating vitamin D, which in turn helps regulate calcium metabolism. Ensuring you have enough magnesium in your diet can help maintain a healthy balance of calcium, supporting overall bone health and preventing issues like calcification in soft tissues. Any type of coffee? Does the strength matter?
Certain types of coffee, particularly those that are heavily processed or contain additives, may potentially lead to increased magnesium excretion in the body. This effect is primarily attributed to the presence of caffeine in coffee.
Caffeine is a diuretic, meaning it increases the production of urine, which can lead to the loss of minerals like magnesium through urine. Additionally, caffeine can increase the acidity of the urine, which may further contribute to magnesium loss.
However, it's important to note that the impact of coffee on magnesium levels can vary depending on individual factors such as overall diet, hydration status, and genetic differences in how the body metabolizes caffeine.
To mitigate any potential negative effects on magnesium levels, it's advisable to consume coffee in moderation and ensure a balanced diet that includes magnesium-rich foods such as leafy green vegetables, nuts, seeds, and whole grains.

A professional can provide comprehensive advice and help ensure you’re following a safe and effective approach to managing your prostate health.
Doesn’t matter when you drink your coffee like an hour before you eat and several hours after you eat so you don’t lose the magnesium is that right or wrong?
Coffee contains compounds called polyphenols and tannins, which can bind to minerals like magnesium, calcium, and iron, forming complexes that are less readily absorbed by the body. Therefore, consuming coffee around meal times may theoretically decrease the absorption of these minerals from the food you eat.

Can that cause aortic dissection?
If you're concerned about your risk of aortic dissection or any cardiovascular condition, it's essential to focus on overall heart health, which includes factors such as managing blood pressure, maintaining a healthy weight, staying physically active, and consuming a balanced diet. If you have specific concerns about your magnesium levels or their potential impact on your health, it's best to discuss them with a healthcare professional for personalized advice.

Lab made magnesium?
Hello! The magnesium in this supplement comes from a combination of sources for enhanced absorption and efficacy. It includes magnesium in the form of ionized glycinate, ascorbate, and citrate, which are variously bound to other molecules to increase bioavailability. The final type, magnesium as C16 & C18 alkyls, is derived from whole, untreated palm leaf and fruit, which is a natural source. The magnesium itself is not lab-made but is processed to be in forms that the body can readily use. Additionally, the supplement is encapsulated in a vegetable capsule with added vegetable fiber to aid digestion.

I thought Coffee had magnesium in it?
You're right, coffee does contain some magnesium, but the amount is relatively small. More importantly, the caffeine in coffee can increase the excretion of magnesium through urine. This effect can potentially lead to a reduction in overall magnesium levels in the body, especially with high or frequent coffee consumption. This is why, alongside enjoying your coffee, it might be beneficial to ensure you're also getting enough magnesium through your diet or supplements.

Isn't chloride really bad for you
Chloride itself is not inherently bad for you; in fact, it is an essential electrolyte necessary for various bodily functions. Chloride, along with sodium and potassium, is crucial for maintaining fluid balance, transmitting nerve impulses, and supporting muscle function.
The magnesium makes me tired and cloudy
There are many different magnesium. Try glycinate
The key to increasing magnesium status is proper absorption. Most people only absorb 4-30% of popular magnesium supplements, because they contain the oxide or chloride forms of magnesium which are difficult to absorb. With Ionized Magnesium: alkalineforlife.com/products/ionized-magnesium the individual will receive the form of magnesium right for him or her, and the synergy of the 4 most bioavailable, ionized magnesium forms (magnesium glycinate, magnesium ascorbate, magnesium citrate, and magnesium C16 & C18 alkyls) will increase absorption of all.
It's interesting to hear that magnesium is making you feel tired and cloudy. Magnesium is generally known for its calming effects on the nervous system and can sometimes lead to feelings of relaxation or sleepiness, especially if taken in larger doses. This is why many people take it before bed to help improve sleep quality.
However, if you're experiencing cloudiness or fatigue that feels excessive or disruptive, it might be worth adjusting the timing or the dosage of your magnesium intake. Additionally, it's a good idea to discuss these symptoms with a healthcare provider to ensure that the magnesium isn't interacting with other medications you may be taking or to check if there's another underlying issue affecting how your body is responding to the supplement. They can help tailor the dosage to better suit your needs, potentially alleviating the unwanted side effects.
Noooooo worries I’ll take magnesium ❤😂😂😂😂🎉😂😂 the anti oxidants from coffee ☕️ FAR OUTWEIGH the seeming mg + loss 😂ridiculous
Just add some magnesium Citrate powder to your coffee! Actually does not alter taste much at all, maybe even adds taste if your water is low in minerals e.g. RO water line mine. Works for me. Try it.
