The best thing about plastic is they can't get mites and the mites need to hide in the wood cracks when they are not on the chicken. Impossible to do in plastic. Easy to clean too.
Your lovely voice is soft, while the metal sounds of the cage and run are painfully loud. I loved meeting your chickens. As we are planning to buy the same cage setup for our first ever backyard chickens, watching your video was confirmation that we have made the right choice. Many thanks.
The first night I had to kinda lead them up the stairs then they were just doing it on their own. They just instinctively want to head to higher safer quiet areas to roost. I have heard of some people having probs of getting their chickens to go up the steps on their own. Luckily mine learned pretty quick and figured it out.
I have had the eglu cube and it’s been two weeks and still my chickens won’t go up the ladder. I have to go and put them in. If we leave them until nearly dusk they get very stressed
@@Louise-xr5ok on the Omlet website there’s a forum and someone asked a similar question and what worked for her was to take a flashlight and put it into the cube at dusk. Maybe that will help.
@@ellecraig921 hi ? No still no joy. I've put a light in there and leave them as late as possible and still they are waiting for me. I patiently put them on the ladder and they can all walk up it but still not going in on their own. I think the main problem is they are a new flock of youngsters and have no older ones to show them and lead them in.
Do you have a 10% off code for omlet? I love our classic but I'm thinking about getting the wheels and a new cage so my other girls can't fly on top then over the fence where my neighbors big dog is🤦.

I've had it over a year now and still love it!
How do your hens decide where to sleep? Love to hear an update! We also have a cube and a go up!

@@ellecraig921 they did it , finally last night they all went up together!!!
I just realized the coops do not have roosting bars, how do they sleep?
How many bantams would fit in one of these?
I have 7 chicks. Which one of these two do you recommend?
Did 8 large chickens for in one coop?
Nice i just wished there were windows for them
They mostly only in there to sleep or lay eggs. They don't hang out. So really no need for windows.
How do you prevent raccons from grabbing your hens? And mice from getting in?
She doesn’t have to do anything, Eglu coops and runs are predator proof.
Did the outside wooden roost pole come with the Omlet? How does it attach?
I had to buy them separately. They screw on to the cage kinda sandwiched between the metal bars.
How many chickens do you think the cube will hold? I know it says 10 but I'm sure its less. Would 8 medium chickens be possible you think?
Well my 8 seem to like to all cram into the cube at night to sleep. It's a tight fit but chickens like to huddle together.

I do not have a code :-(
