After your comment on my Goodreads review of Positively Penelope, I had to check out this video! We do feel very similarly about it! I definitely like the first half better too.

Jinger and her husband have a more Biblical attitude toward her life after growing up in a cult. They come across as humble and loving and her book was interesting and productive. I don't care for the arrogance and attitude of Jill and Derrick. Haven't for years. I have no desire to read her book, because of that. I have watched a few of their You Tube videos and they just don't project God's love in the way they treat their kids, each other, etc. I am glad she is aware that part of her upbringing was not good and that she hasn't walked away from God because of it. I also feel that they open the door to criticism of all Christians, rather than lovingly separating truth from the bad.

      Yes! I definitely agree!
I really appreciate the influence that Jinger is able to have and the truth that her and her husband are teaching!
