Congratulations on the six books you read!! Despite not hitting your goal, that’s amazing! Hope you hit your aim for March 🎪🤍
Thank you so much!
The way you review books is amazing I wish I could be good at talking about books as you are because you make even the books you do not like sound interesting
Thank you so much!
I binged read the Akata Witch series when I saw your reading vlog about it. I enjoyed all three very much! It was an intense and atmospheric experience and these definitely are now in my favorites!
Oh wow I think you've just sold me on Tristan Strong. What an incredible description, you've outdone yourself! What brilliant themes, too. I'm adding it to my goodreads immediately. :)
Great wrap-up video! I loved The Nisibidi Scripts series so far. I recently finished Akata Witch which I enjoyed and am looking forward to reading the next two books! Glad you enjoyed The Night Circus. That's one of my all time favorites! Overall, I really enjoy how detailed your review of each book is.
I finally read The Poppy War and immediately started reading The Dragon Republic ❤️💔 Also The Night Circus got me through quarantine last year, it's just so beautiful and atmospheric - I got completely sucked into the story! Although I agree it had some weaker points. The Starless Sea is still my favourite 💛
My reading speed is really bad lately, so much stress. I am currently 3rd book in for this year and reading one chapter a day. Wish me luck in March!
Currently reading A Desolation Called Peace.
Love your reviews! You always manage to give a good feel for a book without the need for any spoilers. I will be giving Tade Thompson a go, thanks.
Congratulations on reading those six books atleast! I was just under my goal for February. I read books 2-5 of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. Was trying to finish the series, but missed finishing the sixth book by 90 pages. Here's to hoping we both meet our goals for the month of March!
Lovely wrap up!
I’m on book six of Wheel of Time and every book has been a blend of me being completely indifferent and completely invested. Also the speed endings seem to just be his thing lol.
I also read 6 books this months: two nonfiction books on Japan, and for fiction: The Silver Gryphon, the Stolen Court, Storm Rising (reading Storm Raging right now), and Six Crimson Cranes. Also read some manga.
Wheel of Time is definitely a commitment, and some books drag more than others, but it's worth pulling through. I bought the Tristan Strong trilogy!
I love the Others series so much! Hearing you talk about it makes me want to go back and re-read them all (again).
I just finished Jade Legacy and absolutely adored the ending of that series. I also had a tough month and didn't read as much as I planned. I am hoping to pick it up in March.
I read 7 books this month:
It Ends with us by Colleen Hoover, Survive the Night by Riley Sager, Seven Days in June by Tia Williams, Silver in the Wood by Emily Tesh, The Fine Print by Lauren Asher, Velvet Was the Night by Silvia Moreno Garcia and Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren.
Overall a great reading month for me bcoz I really liked almost all of them.
I hope you'll read Dragon Keeper in March! I think you'll like it a lot.
I love the Wheel of Time series. Jordan does get a bit wordy with things we don't necessarily need to know but it all works out in the end. I love Mat and Perrin's story lines. I also kept imagining them as human versions of the hobbits Merry and Pippen. 😄
The Shadow Rising (Wheel of Time 4) is so much more fast-paced than the first 3. That and book 5 are easily my favourites out of the first 6!
Im looking forward to getting to book 4!
I agree - the next few and the last few are my favorites
Books I read in February:
The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren. 4.5 stars
The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood. 5 stars
The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. 4.5 stars
Piranesi by Susanna Clarke. 3 stars
Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor. 5 stars.
Just read Dragon Haven and I loved it!
All i read in February was physics chemistry and biology 😭😭
Totally agree with you on Dragon Reborn! I'm at about the 60% mark and to get through the first half I was making myself read two chapters a day just to make progress....second half is definitely better though! I've read seven books this month but I've been reading Dragon Reborn for 5 weeks 😅
The Darkness Outside Us is a very cool sci-fi book with a similar "what is going on, can we trust the ship, there is something that is hidden from us" vibe. I really liked it! The romance is pretty cute too
I loved Anne Bishop's The Others Series!
Have you ever read the Chorus of Dragons series by Jenn Lyons? I randomly came across it and I’m flying through it~~~ congrats on your six books! 💜💜💜I also didn’t read as much this month but that’s how the cookie crumbles cookie 🍪🍪🍪🍪
I finished the tristan strong series in feb! and I read the tade thompson book as well .. agree with your thoughts!
I need to read Tristan Strong!! It’s been on my TBR for so long
I am on the 4th Anne Bishop book based on your rec and I am enjoying it! I love Simon ❤️ . Have you read Sky Without Stars?.I am sooo pleasantly surprised and am loving this trilogy. It's a Les Miserable re imagining in space!!!
PLEASE make a recommendation video of books that will make us fall back in love with writing, something with lyrical literature or anything that makes a writer realize that yeah this is written so beautiful and writing is just magical. :)
Thank you
I purple u 💜
Not sure if this counts, but the Hell's Library trilogy by AJ Hackwith is literally about writers and their characters.
The night circus has been sitting on my tbr list for months now. But finally..finally I'll be able to pick up.
The hype is super high and I was looking for vlogs so I could decide wether to read it or not. Now thanks to you, I can finally read it!
Love your vlogs, btw.
❤❤
If you like audiobooks, I highly recommend the audio version narrated by Jim Dale (who also narrated the Harry Potter books). I was on the fence too because I don't always love super lyrical writing, but he does a fantastic job and really added to my enjoyment of the story!
well it was a pretty slow month for me. I read terms and condition and currently reading the bride test by helen hoang :)
I didn't realize terms and conditions was out! I need to get on that. Thank you! ☺☺☺☺☺
@@charityyoder9028 it was better than book 1! Like 😭💝💚🦋🌻💘
The pattern that you see in the first three books of WOT is done now - there isn’t the quest that they all go on are divided and meetup again by the end of the book. You won’t see that predictable pattern in the series again.
This month I only read one book which was reccomended in your channel: beartown.
It was amazing so thank you!
Somehow every video you expand my TBR and my closet 🤔
hahaha ty ty
Hey Regan! Great video!
I just finished a series I started in HS called Across the Universe. It’s a young adult, space, science fiction story. It was such an interesting story. Have you ever read it?
This month I finished Gai-Jin by James Clavell, The Fall by Ryan Cahill, Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone by J.K. Rowling and started Noble House by James Clavell.
Thank u for your videos, i absolutley love them.
Theyre so "feel good" and you have very positive energy.
I read the anne bishop series that starts with written in red on your reccomendation and i loved it. Its definitly a feel good series.
Although one thing did bug me. The pay off in the end in terms of romance wasnt enough.
I saw that there is a continuation series in the same world but different characters. I want to know if i should pick it up. Did u get a chance to read it? Maybe?
Those problems with the wheel of time will continue, there are still high points but you will likely find yourself reading for when you get the POVs you like. Characters will also become more or less likeable over time. Though, which characters hit for people of course vary. I don't know that it's worth persevering given the amount of subjective filler.
Regan, I noticed in some recent videos the dragon keeper off of your shelf, are you reading it, or planning to read it soon?

Would you be interested in rereading a few of the Chronicles of Narnia as a light read between your bigger reads?
This month has been the *worst* for actually sitting down and reading, at least for me. I'm not going to have finished anything...
(I mean, I'm watching this right now because I'm too anxious to actually read, ha ha)
In my opinion, Book 4 of WoT changes everything. It starts to deviate from the classic quest narrative, and you start to think..."Oh that's why Brandon Sanderson was such a fan boy."
So is “The Wheel of Time” on Prime based on the first book of the series? Or the first few books? I’m about to finish the show and I’ve been thinking about reading the books.
As far as I know book one and book two.
I have read the whole series. It’s really only the plot of book 1 but for people who have read the books there are little nods to later books.
Haven't actually watched it, but I read all the books years ago. From my understanding, the show covers the first 1-2 books, but I've heard there are some differences (not sure if they're good or bad differences).
Girl update your Goodreads haha!!
lol this is a good reminder
Z library is a grate way to get free books
6 Books?!
when will the dragon reborn reading vlog will come ?
Over 5 thousand views! You are truly blessed!
I’ve read nothing :(
Don’t worry I can’t even focus on books last few days if you know what I mean…
me neither
Hey
I haven’t read the Wheel of Time books but I watched the show’s first season. I liked it just fine but Rand was so annoying 😭
Have you seen Brandon Sanderson‘s video yet? If not check out his youtube channel. You won‘t regret it 🙂
My favorite reads in February are
Revival by Stephen king
Iron widow
The singles table by Sara desai
These hollow vows
The gilded cage by lynette nomi
