Allen Iverson Georgetown DUNK mix !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Allen Iverson dunking is another example of a little guy that can sky. At 6 feet tall, he is taller than Spud Webb and Nate Robinson but is still considered a little guy in basketball.
He is considered a prolific scorer more than a show stopping dunker. He dunked more in college, Georgetown University, and early in his professional career with the Philadelphia 76ers. The Iverson Career Dunk Montage is an incredible display of athleticism...
He dunked more in the open floor with no defense but still managed to take defenders one-on-one and slammed over them. He has his share of dunking over forwards, Marcus Camby, Detlef Shrempf and Rony Seikaly.
Maybe not one the most exciting dunkers, he is one of the most incredible ballhandlers. He has an arsenal of moves that boarder on insanity and illusion. He elevated the killer crossover to another level. Breaking defenders ankles and driving right past them.
He not only displayed an awesome killer crossover he had all the other moves, between the legs, around the back and killer crossover counter. He will set up the defender and perform a crossover dribble, if the defender moves with him he simply crosses back behind him and leaves the defender in his tracks. Allen Iverson is the best one-on-one ballhandler.
Many great players such as Kobe, Dwade, MJ, and Lebron power their man to the hole but no one can juke them like Iverson. His quickness and phenomenal ballhandling make him special. He can dribble a football, tennis ball, volleyball and anything that has air.
The lightening quick moves leave defenders wondering where the ball went. He has it all the Shake-n-bake, dispsy doo, skip to my Lou, inny out, swivel and the x-plosion dribble. Besides Allen Iverson dunking being all over the Internet so are his moves and other websites. Punch his name into a browser search bar and three million links are found. Anything about Allen Iverson can be found.
There are about 20,000 videos of Allen Iverson on TH-cam. Videos of dunk, passing, dribbling, dancing, crying, laughing, press conferences, late show guest appearances and many others. The search can be narrowed for specific dates, specific games or specific moves.
His 48 points in game 1 of the NBA finals, his top ten plays, playing high school football, his killer crossover on Antonio Daniels, Dunking on 7 footers, his celebrity games and everything else. The website iverson.ca.nstempintl.com, "Allen Iverson: The 3rd Degree", may challenge his other fan site but it is not as clean and disorganized. It mimics the same content and the link AI's game is very good. It breaks down some of his moves and has an associated video attached.
Researching Allen Iverson on the web paints a picture of an enigma. A basketball great with numerous scrapes with the law, including assault and gun possession, complete insubordination with the NBA, characterized as a street thug that plays basketball and vilified by the press. He is blamed for starting the "Street" and "Hip Hop" influence in the NBA. How will Allen Iverson be remembered, that is up to each individual.

I remember how the Refs would hate on Iverson for so-called hanging on the rim, even when he would dunk and control his balance which is what ballers do, they hated the fact that' The Most High' would put so much raw talent in such a small package and with a heart bigger than Texas!!! I was at a few of those games at the Capital Center, Allen Iverson aka 'The God' aka ' The Goat' aka Cold Killer! aka 'The Answer'...peace to Bubba Chuck the Greatest!!

I Was in lexington KY at Rafferty's, which is a nice middle of the road restaurant. My Friend bartended there so we were sitting at the bar and Rick Pitino and one of his assistants (or Bill Keightly the long time equipment manager) were in a booth eating. Iverson came right down the middle and dunked over 2 players and Pitino just about jumped out of the booth seeing that pointing to the screen and making sure his associate saw the play. Looked like just another fan watching an outstanding play out of no where. Was cool to see him so excited about another team's player.

Dude he looked more athletic in college than he was in the NBA. I’m not just talking about the hops, but the speed and body control as well.

yea after his rookie year he stopped trying to dunk on people. probly extended his career by doing so considering he avg 40+min a game for his career and played both sides of the floor. ja morant right now is in that spot where he gotta play a lil more under the rim to preserve his body going forward

Not the first 4 years in the league he was dunking just like that if not better, go watch his NBA dunk highlights. In 1997 he did a put back dunk over camby flying from far and his elbow was near the rim. The man had a 45 inch vertical coming into the league and jumping was not his best attribute, it was quickness and speed

I remember I was a young kid and wasn’t really a Georgetown fan in particular and knew very little about Iverson but found myself watching his first game or one of his first games at Georgetown and remembering that it was a moment, like whoa this is gonna be something. Like one of those moments when you’re a kid and amazed by something.

Very impressive work. I can't recall too many dunks you left out of the footage I gave you, penny. Best of all you made sure to use the VERY BEST dunk highlights. One reason why I wanted to share this material with an Ai fan like yourself was for you to use your skill to remind or educate people how exciting Iverson was in college. Easily the most exciting player I've seen at the college level. Rose and Wall are great but boring by comparison. And Wall was never close to AI in terms of speed.

@chiladin dont worry man i get yo point. Iverson is a one of a kind player. I mean a 5'11 player who was so athletic and talented and like you said he did make a impact on basketball whether people liked it or not. But Rose could be something special too, he may not average 33 ppg or win 4 scoring titles like Iverson did but he may do something different. Folks need to let Iverson have his own legacy and let D Rose have his.

That crossover, and the dunk at 4:55 are two absolutely magnificent moves. Uneffinbelievable. So Jordanesque😀. By the way, I used to hoop, and hanging on the rim was the only way to regain balance, thus, controlling the fall, and preventing a knee injury on the impact with the floor.

@BeatsBearsBattlestar Allen Iverson is repsonsible for the whole era of basketball right now. Take away his crossover, his moves, his swag, his attitude, his charisma, his whole hip hop culture. Take all of that away from the league i garuntee the NBA is completly different....I think he did more than Jordan did for the NBA (Minus the marketing of hsi own clothes) Iverson has changed the way the game is played. Jordan did thangs ppl have never seen. Iverson changed the way ppl play the game.

@chiladin Yea ur right...u cantt compare a.i. to rose yet nd up to this point rose has accomplished more...at 22, iverson hadnt made the playoffs nd rose has already taken his team to the eastern conference finals...the reason i love rose so much is because he reminds me so much of what i used to love about allen iverson...Iverson is one of the greatest players of all time nd my all time favorite player but u dnt hav to hate on rose jus bcuz ai's time has passed nd im not directin dat at u btw

@pb0o6 So you think hes the best player in the NBA? The best point guard? I would put Paul and Williams ahead of him as a point guard and outside the top5 players in the league....He is good, but people were treating him like he was the next Jordan.
He's great at driving and is hard to stay in front of but he still cant shoot and his team relies on him to much. He struggled against the Pacers and was shut down against Miami....Yea they had the best record but didnt play like it.

@chiladin What has Rose done that was so spectacular for him to recieve MVP.? Lets do some research. Rose and Westbrook had nearly the ""SAME"" exact stats this season. So MVP's mean nothing for his career. Rose is overrated. He cant shoot and takes like 30 fgs a game. He, or anyone for that, will never be better than Iverson.

@chiladin Brandon Jennings and AI? what? Jennings is not going to be a hall of famer or a scoring champ ever. Derrick Rose has done more than AI at 22 because he came into the league at 19 and has played with better players than Iverson ever had w/ the exception of the Denver teams. And Iverson while having a huge impact on the 21st century basketball, has not had as much impact as Jordan - whose the most marketed athlete ever and was responsible for the primo era of basketball.

@chiladin nd AI is a better scorer then rose, a 6 footer makin fools of big men and was a dominant scorer, yea rose is beast when it comes to driving in tha paint but his shooting needs improvment, AI played like a 2 guard he was a pure scorer he was able to drive in, shake tha defender with his nasty crossover, nd had a nice shot, rose is more of a point guard but iverson was a better scorer

@chiladin dude, if you think that rose is anywhere near Iverson, then you have no idea how good iverson was and what he did for the game rose isn't even the best in the game today, kobe, wade, lebron, dwight, chris paul, melo and durant are all better than him
