- ET spoke with Addison Rae and Tanner Buchanan ahead of the release of ‘He’s All That,’ where both stars revealed if they feel pressure starring in the remake of the 1999 classic, ‘She’s All That.’ The TikTok star and actor also dished on what it was like working with the original film’s star, Rachael Leigh Cook, and what Easter eggs we can expect in the new movie. ‘He’s All That’ starts streaming Aug. 27 on Netflix.

I dont know why people hate on the movie, I just watched it, It was amazing it dosent deserve the hate it recieves. The storyline is amazing and the acting is great. Overall its a excellet movie.
He did great at explaining what the movie is about and how it's similar, but modern.
Why are we hating on Addison for getting the role? The decision on whether or not she got the lead wasn’t even up to her so technically we have no right to complain about that, right? Also, there is no need to make a massive fuss over her acting. Can’t blame her for wanting to try something new :)

Many of the actors you see on tv and movies are products of nepotism (Emma Roberts, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Lily Collins, Zoe kravitz to name a few). At least Addison built a name through tiktok, so many actors were handed their roles because they come from famous families
@@alexroberts3402 at least they can act though and actually a lot of them actually went to school for acting and took lessons hard core. Nothing against Addison but her acting seemed so…. Don’t really have a proper word but kind of stiff, the emotions she was suppose to show was not fully there.
@@darkwitch696 eh. That’s subjective. I actually thought both Emma and Lily (Emma especially) sucked at acting until very recently. I can’t comment on the acting school because idk much about it but I’m pretty sure not every actor went to acting school. Considering this was her first role, I really don’t think Addison’s acting was as bad as people say. Like sure it wasn’t amazing either, but I feel like people get so caught up in the fact that she’s a tiktok star that they forget that most of these cheesy teen Netflix movies have cringy acting. If she really sees acting as a career, I’m sure she’ll improve as her roles become more varied.

I love She's All That and He's All That did not disappoint me at all, i actually love it too. I wish people would take the stigma and all the negativity they have against Addison and actually appreciate her in this movie. She did a great job for her first movie and I'm proud of her!
had no clue who this girl was. that being said. it was a terrible movie. horrible remake from the original classic. the acting from both her and him were really bad. she has the excuse that it was her first role. he doesn't. from cobra kai to that other series he kinda came out in, to this. you can see he doesn't act very well which is probably why he had such a small role in the 3rd season of cobra kai. literally all you little girls and boys that like him are because he is attractive and has a great body. that doesn't mean he is talented.

I've watched him in another movie before this one and his acting wasn't bad also most people's expectations were so high bc wk how good She's All That was but still she doesn't deserve all that hate!

It's not bad for Addison's first movie acting. Just lack in emotions especially when she's sad or upset.(just my opinion though) Still I feel like somethings missing in this movie. Or maybe because it seems like the First Highschool chickflix in today's generation that I've watched and I can't help but compare to the 90's and 20's HS chickflix.
I watched the movie expecting to be disappointed but I enjoyed it , Addison did a good job!
Matthew dancing in the end really made me laugh - took me back to the scene where he gets drunk and dances in the first movie LOL
I loved the movie, I'm a big fan of the original and I had a huge smile during the whole time. I really missed this 90's feeling for movies and I'm so glad they brought it back

Watching Rachael play the part of a mother made me feel so old...had a crush on her when I saw the original back in the day LOL..Overall good effort from all the actors, really enjoyed the movie.

honestly this movie was pretty great, just remember this is Addison's first main role and she did a wonderful job.

Actually, I love Addison's performance in the movie. Watched it over and over. It did not disappoint me. The movie was great, the same as She's All That. Kudos to all who made the two movies possible!

addison honestly didn’t do that bad, but i feel like she should’ve started with smaller roles like an acquaintance of the main character or something and not just go straight to being the main character herself. also, when i tell you i screamed when tanner used his cobra kai training in this movie.

I loved the movie! Great story, relatable and it gave me a valuable lesson about social media, friendship and that I should always be my true self, even in the worst situations (Not faking). She did well in this movie and it sounds like she worked really hard for this movie to work, get good criticism and pass the messages to the society. Hope that she won't get much hate and that she won't let it affect her career.

This was the best remake movie ever! I watched it twice in a row & the red dress in the end and having the original she’s all that character Laney as the mom of Padgett was just amazing touch super cute 💕! I loved the first one but this one really was so much better.
