Hailaker you guys are awesome. I love the brass in this song, the lyrics, the melancholy feel with the instrumentals, its just so well done. And kudos to you for supporting an animator! I wish I saw more animation in music videos, not that it doesn't exist. But because I feel animators/artists can be so well utilized in visual expression for music.
I love that we can hear what I imagine is Ed Tullett's influence with this track -- the beginning reminisces "Malignant" to my ears. I think that's him with the beautiful notes at 2:14? Then we get to hear him backing without falsetto, which is always a welcome contrast. And of course Jemima is wonderful -- I'll just stop here bc I don't have the words rn to describe either of these individuals' beauty :)

Found this song last year, first song I found of Hailaker, still my favorite out of all their songs. Lowswimmer and watercolour are tied in second. I also just found out this song came out on my birthday. I think this song was truly meant to find me. Thank you Hailaker for such beautiful music and I love your self titled album as much as the setting sun meets the ocean.
