Sounds like you’re the only one in this story who took accountability. Good job on the outcome. You went above and beyond.
A 16 year old girl driving a 15K plus jeep wrangler that daddy bought isn’t going to take accountability for anything
@@WOWster007 I’m talking about daddy and mommy who waited until it was crashed to sell it back, posted their “negative experience” on FB and 99.9% probably didn’t make a follow up post saying how it was cleared up at their benefit. There’s NO way that 16yo kid will ever do the right things in life being raised by parents like that.
insurance paid you good money to have it properly repaired and you did a half assed job and you could see the paint on the sill no matter how much you kept the camera moving 😂😂
I can't stop watching a used car dealership. But he is super honest so I keep watching. He highlighted many customers who suck . He shows how to be honest
This was a big win financially for flying wheels. Huge insurance check when it really took $1500 or less to fix.
Yep a sob story for 2 episodes.
But we all know he’s in business and he makes money. 😜 quick fix and sold to the next sucker
Just have to look at the state of the workshop to appreciate the quality you’ll receive 😂
@@rc70yswhat sob story??? This was so obvious from the beginning, now if he would have gave them that pathfinder instead of actual money back, he would have understood the full assignment, which is what I thought was going to happen until he said he gave them money back, what a sucker
How was that gas tank cover missed originally. It didn't rust in a couple of days. It was flaking off .
I hope he sprayed it with some type of rust converter before putting that skid plate on to cover it, because moisture and road salt is now going to get trapped between the rusted cover and the skid plate, making it rust even faster
Engine light on for an evap leak, meaning the customer never checked why the light came back on. Again, these people were absolutely unreasonable and to me seems like they just wanted you to buy them out of their own financial choice that they regretted.
You are too nice, you don't have to put up with these types of people. I'm glad you finally got rid of the jeep and got it back in good shape and profited on the vehicle.
If i lived in your area I'd be sending in customers and recommending your lot everyday. 🙏👍
"Engine light on for an evap leak, meaning the customer never checked why the light came back on"
How the hell and why the hell could/should the customer have been able to do that ? This dealer didn't do that , or any diagnostic work that pin-pointed the problem. have to say the workshop would not give me confidence.
A screw in dent puller🤣. That's 100% hack there😉
Yeah definitely don't use those anymore welding studs are the way to go
@ 7:00 minutes, you can still rust on the back half of the gas tank cover. Looks like you put a skid plate to hide the rust. The side "wavy as an ocean" that not a good comment for body work. Hope you disclose that it was wreaked to a potential customer.
The crash bar is still bent behind the bumper cover on the passenger side as well.. not trying to talk shit but this isn't his best work smh
Only thing that sucks about the body filler right there is everyone kicks that spot when they try to get in , that filler better have a lot of hardener
Great job Craig, everyone is happy now, you made it happen, congratulations...
Needs an alignment for sure! Passenger front tire is chopping on the inside so something is going on. Good luck
If that gas tank cover holds the gas tank in place, there’s no way it should have passed the safety inspection before it was sold the first time. It was clearly seriously weakened by corrosion.
That's called rot and not to speak Ill of this beloved TH-cam channel but it seems to be on there underneath the new skid plate smh
The paint on the right side rocker between the passenger doors is hideous.
Awesome perspective. I’ve been doing well myself selling private party. Just a suggestion, doing a little clean up inside the shop would benefit your business greatly. It also minimizes the risk of the vehicles getting damaged such as the corvettes, from getting dinged or scratched. Great 3 video series well deserved profit 👏
German it freaking rocks to see you around. Hope all is good my brother. Craig I know your digging having the legendary German around.
Craig when you a body shop does like the slide hammer,it’s the holes you put in the body they don’t like. The suction cup and glue on process with the slide hammer is preferred
That black paint job u did stands out like a turd. Also that jeep under carriage is rusted bad. And finally the C7 looks way better than c8
Its a NH car, every car in New England has a rusted undercarriage. Paint job isn't fantastic I agree but its clearly visible to anyone trying to buy it.
Definitely don't miss working on cars with all that rot. Moved from the rust belt to Phoenix some years back, best decision I ever made.
I love how you turned this around Craig for the insurance repair to come to you.... great thinking because the customer doesn't care about your money... you turned a bad situation into a better one. They put you through the ringer on this one.
I can appreciate your efforts and your not selling a new car buttttt. That is tough to pass as a decent repair. If you are fully transparent when selling it and tell potential buyers about you repairing it then ok.
Love the videos, I’ve been binge watching for a week or so. I hope you take good care of your mechanic, it’s tough nowadays with the cost of everything
I got completely screwed on a wrangler last 2 weeks ago… i bought it drove it right off the lot 15mins down the freeway check engine light came out… said wtf threw it in limp mode & it was a p1776 code so i had to drop the trans pan & had to pull it apart & replace the damn solenoids in the valve body… i noticed they sold it to me resealed check engine light on with tons of under coating hiding the leak i was pissed… & they told me to kick rocks. They sold me a pos trying to hide it & knowing atleast you did something so thank you gives me hope. Your not bad by any means for this situation your a good guy.
Hey Craig,
You’re a stand up guy for going above and beyond to make things right. Not a lot of used car dealerships would have went the extra mile by offering to buy the car back, not once, twice, but three times. I’m a firm believer that what goes around, eventually comes around. Selling a used item, that is high priced, must really be frustrating at times. Keep doing the right thing as best you can and keep making lemonade out of lemons, like this situation. Continuing success and may God Bless
Nice outcome! It's a scary situation when you're the one holding the mess. Congratulations 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
Awedome news that it got sold after all the issues with it, hopefully all dealers do what you did on similar cases, loved the series on this jeep
Rattle can Craig!!!
Craig that is why you make the big bucks cause you always go the extra mile for your customers you my friend are the best 😊
I felt bad for the parents up to the point they crashed it and wanted a full refund. Good deeds never go unpunished.
Always enjoy the content and the transparency. Keep up the good work
Great little series but those body repairs 🤦♂️
From what I can remember the insurance pay out was $6500 I’d be surprised if you spent $2000 on parts and labour.
Definitely came out on top.
yea he did a backyard repair , the generic materials he used was probably 150.00 and it only has to hold up for a month or 2 for someone to buy it , but thats the difference in a body shop and someone doing cheap work just to get a car out, like that rotted out fuel tank cover was clearly there when you sold it your lucky that dident fall out
@@Autocreatorzyea this made me doubt a lot of what’s he said is there anyway it wasn’t like that when they sold it. Doesn’t seem possible but he always seems trustworthy
@@WaziM6 small time dealers work with smaller numbers not to mention the rust up there he probably sprayed 1.00 walmart black paint on it so it looked good but after a month it blead threw again,im sure you seen him dusting panals with random paint and same to seats its only gotta last 3 months which would be the used car warranty and it doesent cover cosmetic its just to hide for the sale
From his last video it was 6,875.00 Total insurance payout assuming they sent him a check for that quoted amount. He did really well even if he had to go through all this.
This was one of your better, if not the best, storylines in your entire video collection. You went way beyond what I expected you should do for the customer and things turned out well. That's something I have noticed in life - you get out what you put in.

Great to see you came out ahead with the jeep.
A 45.00 problem. EASY to fix. I did it myself. I just had to get dirty and crawl underneath the Jeep. Make sure you buy the gasket!! It doesn't come with the component... don't know why... but that's an additional 12.00.
I love your videos! I have a peer-assisted learning center at a university in Thailand and you have inspired me to do something similar.
Yikes. That tool is so wrong. You use the the tool that uses studs you tack weld onto the damage & pull it. Then just grind the studs off. The hole tool will rust the damage from inside out. It also gives you bondo worms inside too. Being you own a car lot & you will come across this again buying the right dent puller would be a good investment for you. Throw the one you currently have in the garbage.
Great work, journey and outcome! "Fantastic Flying Wheels"
Hi from Sydney Australia.
Great job on the Jeep. I am surprised that Jeeps are not in demand for winter . They are four wheel drive. Oh well. Nice job. Looks great.
Craig some of the scan tools you can find out when the check engine light was turned off but at an auction you can’t plug it in but maybe you put the scan tool on to atleast see when it was reset. Your videos are Great Have a good day Craig
Glad it worked out for you Craig.
Great job Craig 👍
Nice job Craig, you come across are a genuine guy…….but I’ve met a lot of car guys that fooled me. I’m still watching cause I think you might be the exception.
Craig shoots and scores! nice way to bounce back from this saga..
GERMAN!!! Made me smile just to see him for a minute!
Sweeeet video thanks!! I do the same type of thing with small engine and power sports!!
Heck I live in Canada and I would purchase a used vehicle off FlyingWheels. This guy is a rare breed now a days.
$7000 INSURANCE CHECK!!! I'D SAY YOU MADE OUT PRETTY WELL WITH THE WORK YOU DID :)
Great job on the comeback 👏
I bought a used 2014 Jeep Wrangler JK two and a half years ago after starting to watch this channel. Craig's love of what he does and what he sells was what drew me in. I love my Jeep. Love the channel.
Wow, Crege Craig so cool watching the story unfold. Thanks for taking time to share this. I have no idea how you find the time to be a dad run a business and a TH-cam channel at the same time man you have some momentum going that’s for sure very commendable and respectable teaching thousands of people being transparent. Thank you sir.
Wow that saga rotated back into something pretty great. The original buyers got almost all their money back, you guys were able to fix the jeep from its mechanical and wreck experience thereby saving time and also turned a profit on the Jeep. Impressed how you and your team navigated this. Much respect Flying Wheels!
Dealer always wins 😳
5:31 You guys should have used a body hammer, wood dowels and sand bag from the back side.
Great to see a German cameo!!
Omg it's german I miss him doing his work on this channel so great to see you say hi if you are here and see my comment German 😊.
You "Worked Hard For The Money"....and you deserved every penny.
Wranglers are great in the winter, surprised they dont sell well in the winter too.
I just found your utube videos and really love to get info like this..as a women I hate it when you go to buy a vehicle and feel you're taken advantage of..
I love trucks, especially the GMC HD..I own an 2001 GMC HD 3/4 ton just turned 100k..no issues, at all, looks new...I take very good care of my vehicles...
Would like to own a newer model but way over prised!!
Thanks again for the info..I'll be watching...
Lol I have the first mucar scan tool you showed. I like it. You have to pay extra for all the features so you have to keep that in mind if you want it.
Get it while you can, Folks! Radio, Heater (slams fist on hood) and white letter tires. This ain't gonna last long, the deal that is....
Getting the Jeep up and running, yes! Reliable😂😂😂😂 Good luck
Congratulations on turning a lemon into a great daily fun driver.
As cool as some of them are, this video is a perfect example of why I’ll never buy any Chrysler products (unless I hit the lotto, then I’d consider a Viper or two)
Craig, Craig, Craig drilling all those holes into the metal. I thought you were better than that man? Buy yourself a stud gun welder. Make the world a better place. -Glen
I have been in the car trade for over 35 years and things are very different now with the internet and online reviews. In my opinion the only place you went wrong with this one was you should have refunded them the money they paid towards the engine repairs. You have gone on to make a decent profit on the Jeep but in this instance a smaller profit and customers not left out of pocket would have been a better long term strategy as word of mouth in a small town is the best form of advertising.
I am not saying you did anything wrong but some you win and some you lose. You would still have won on this one the girl wouldn't have been out of pocket. I think that would have been a better resolution.
After 35 years in the business have you ever taken back that was messed up? Have you taken one back that was wrecked, have you taken one back after you were slandered? And by chance you have done all of those have you ever taken a car back that was messed up wrecked and after the people who purchased it slandered your name and business? I highly doubt it. Craig was more than fair. Anything else would be simply taking advantage
@@RegardlessRecords I gave my opinion and if you read it you would see that I said he did nearly everything right and I would only do one thing different. He did what he thought was best and that is fine.
Also the Jeep was hardly wrecked. Craig did not have to spend very much money or put much time in it to repair it and also made money repairing it.
I gave my opinion which Craig asked people to do in the video. It is my opinion, you don't have to agree with it.
You are a good man Craig and that is hard to fine now a days. Keep doing what you are doing and you are a Blessed Family
I'm impressed with how you handled this! Kudos to you!
Great job
Wow thought the number 2 video clearly showed you standing tall .
Wow i cant believe all the rot on that gas tank cover.
The way the world old is now I often worry that your honesty will end up hurting you. But tonight I realized your sincerity overrides everything. Don’t change a thing……and thank you.
You are the best man. I know your Parents are proud of the way you handled that tough situation! Good on ya!
Hack repair work and sold the lemon on to the next sucker
Man, you did a helluva good job making that Jeep look really sweet. Nice work on taking care of the customer as well. Always enjoy your content, Craig.
Craig, great video! I mentioned this on your last video but one thing to note is that you have to verbally say that your video is sponsored by whatever company is sponsoring you. There have been people in the past whose TH-cam channels were deleted for not disclosing that it was a sponsored product. I just want to let you know
That is such a beautiful Jeep
good video series
14:00 Only thing Jeb Bush ever did good when he was Governor of Florida. Was get rid of emissions. Why ? Because the majority of vehicles were all passing. But the public was still paying
Also check the computer in the jeep too see if its still good cuz in my older 88 toyota tercel i had to replace the computer cuz it said that it was overheating but in reality it wasnt
Great outcome to a horrible story. Headache yes, but you didn't lose your mind nor a bunch of money. Hope your next video is out soon
Great to see German
Lemon to lemonaid
On your question about the Corvettes, I would prefer the C7. I think they look awesome and I personally think the Corvette should be front-engined. I think it's wrong that the C8 is mid-engined. Corvettes are the front-engined sports cars. They should have made a new model for the mid-engined car.
Yo Craig, at minute 13, it took me a second to realize that the Jeep door was a reflection and not painted.
10:23 Is that Nucar OBD scanner really battery operated?
The ones I have experienced with use the 12V pin from the OBD socket, which provide power from the 12V car battery.
Pretty much like Bluetooth OBD scanners do.
The Autel ones, with the larger screen and a more powerful SoC and Wifi, really need their own battery.
Love the hustle and your focus!
Cheers from Portugal.
3:47 Complete BS on the gas tank cover NOT being like that when you sold it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
That level of rust is from YEARS of corrosion, being driven on SALTED roads in the salt belt! Not a few months !!!!!!!!
The way you care about making it right and trying to keep customer/acquaintance happy makes me wish I lived closer to you so I could buy vehicles from you.😊
your a good man
Curious to know how the damage is (or will be) reflected on CarFax? Structural damage?
Why use a slide hammer when the panel is off?
Got a alignment because the steering is off,, so you have a bent or damaged component and then you just are getting the alignment to correct what ever is damaged ?
Glad everything worked out great work!
Bro scored on this situation, literally $300-500 in repairs
Nice deal on the MuCar scanner, but I had bought the lower version when you offered it last year! Should I jump on the Pro model? I had paid to upgrade the previous version to add the airbag and antilock brakes software - that was an additional %30. Any idea if this PRO model includes all modules or do I need to alsp pay for additional upgrades?
Appreciate the advice!

Nice body work hack
7:54 The only fix for the misfire CEL is a NEW HEAD !!!!!!!!!!!
Its a known problem on the Pentastar 3.6 engines.
I can respect your transparency, but you should've spent some of that $6500 on getting a new fender and having it professionally painted and blended. Still probably would've come out ahead if all you subbed out was the paint job. This is a good example of exactly why people avoid these little neighborhood car dealerships. Some of your fixes are great--this one...eh. Of course, you can't fix the 3.6 pentastar, so it's just polishing a turd anyway.
That's what insurance paid for, not some hack job repair. Typical flying wheels butchery.
I’m cringing at the comments saying he did a great job here. I was totally with him on this…..until he showed the repairs he did. I was wondering why he bought it back after they crashed it. The details that came out in this video show there’s far more to the story. Nothing about this fix was done right and he sold it for the same money. He also didn’t replace that rusted tank cover. He just put a skid plate over it and will sell that as a upgrade. That rotting rust definitely didn’t just happen in a few months. This whole thing was as shady as the guys he rails against. Very disappointed, he’s seemed like one of the good guys until this.
Consider that this is one of the “good” used car dealerships and this is the quality of work he’s proud of, I’m staying away far away. A nice used car salesman is still a used car salesman at the end of the day.
@@seashackf1Have you ever seen him mix up a hodge podge of dried up old touch up and house paint to touch of cars? 😂
@@seashackf1were you really wondering why he bought it back? I didn't even watch this video yet, but it was obvious, $6500 on top makes all the difference. His stupidity was giving them actual money back, instead of that pathfinder, or convincing them to get any other car instead of paying them actual money back. That's how he was supposed to handle this.
What happened to the Kumho AT51s? Had those on my Grand Cherokee. They are great in the snow ❄️
You did the right thing craig love your show keep them coming god bless you and yours
