Is there App available yet or anytime soon? If not how do I get the spreadsheet to open correct on iPad Pro 12.9? I can only get the page to open, it won't let me edit or open in excel. Love the product, I have owned im-sg since it came out. I also have CC1, DD1 plus and AMM1. Now that I have had these tools a few years do they ever need to have the firmware updated or anything?
when you turn the knob. how do you know when you reach the impedance? is there a light letting you know? sorry new to this and very interested buying one.
Thus is awesome... I've just recently had to do this myself and I'm learning a lot about loud speakers an drivers. Is the spreadsheet and or app available yet??
I have a suggestion for a video or several videos. Calculate the max SPL of a driver & box at a given power. I was told by a driver manufacturer that it was impossible to predict the output of a ported box based on the driver's rated power using box design software and the drivers TS parameters. I know it is nonsense but coming from an engineer it would be awesome. Also it would be great to see examples of optimizing ported and sealed boxes for a specific driver for max SQ and max SPL.
So I was just using the IM-SG to find the params for my sub and I noticed when you try to find the Fms the book says use 300grams for a 15 but if the number you get isn't less than 25% to keep adding mass until you get the fms 25% below the fs.Does adding extra mass over the 300grams throw off the numbers after that step?
Sir I think that I should have more power to find my real Resonance? at low power to multiple subs I will see wrong reading??? Thank you, appreciate it sir! Best Regards.
Nope 300 grams is just a good starting point for a 15. Add as much as you need, just put whatever you use into the equations (or the excel spreadsheet) and you are good to go
So basically, no you cant take a T/S parameter measure using SMD's gear alone, and the Fluke 189 is near £400 in the UK plus the £310 that the SMD meter cost in the first place ... and the Dayton DATS costs £99. *Not seeing the up side of any of SMD's meters so far*. Nothing that a mutilmeter or Oscilloscope can't do for around 1/3 of the price or much less and do it much better than the SMD meters.
We have learned that we can reliably make the measurements using the IM-SG @7Hz is about the same thing as DCR using the Fluke in the step where we use it here.
Tony D'Amore Still, it's a pretty penny, for something that doesn't do anywhere near as much as a piece of equipment near 1/3 of the price! As for doing it quicker than..... again I think SMD is onto a loser what that marketing point as well!
Did you make this app or have that spreadsheet link? Just got my IM-SG+ a couple days ago.
Y como se calcula o de dónde salen los gramos de la masa el programa lo dice que peso agregar o como se hace visto desde Colombia esperó respuesta
Tony you are the man and a very smart one, please come out with a tool that does not have someone scribble all over it and sign everything in site

Hey Tony has the Mobile App been created since the video?

on the D'Amore site, under products, and then tools, then IM-SG

The DD-1 HV should be on sale by tomorrow at wccaraudio !! Follow the link on our products page or goto wccaraudio this week!
Is the app on the WCC site or the D'amore site. Looked at both and I'm wondering if I'm just a idiot and can't find it. Excellent work!
He mentioned an app that will assist with this meter, but i am not able to locate it? any help would be awesome thanks!

can i get the T/S parameters of mid range speakers and high frequency drivers with this product or only woofers ?
im ill curious dvc drivers, would i test each coil then average them or connect them parallel to test them?
Hey tony when's the the high volt dd-1 comeing out?
is that a dyton reference 8? been wanting one already have the 15
Can you make a video with the results of this side by side with a woofer tester?
can there please be a link for the excel sheet?
Thats freaking amazing I wish the tool wasn't so much this go round though. But thats awesome.
Can I measure multiple subs to find my shared sealed chamber's resonance? Thank you!
Best Regards.
Yes you can

Freaking sweet! Now I have 2 damore" tools I gotta get maybe 3 lol. U guys are top notch
Is this app out yet? If so Where can I find it? thanks
if you have T/S for the American bass XD1544 1000 watt rms 2000 watt max sub it would be helpful the ones listed on ab site are off massively
Where to buy im-sg , dd-1plus, amm-1
when will this be available
If doing dual voice coils how do you find ohm
good afternoon. I have the im-sg like to know how do I adiqueria this program excel. thank you!
this costs more than dats, but check out the video where steve meade validates box stuffing versus impedance! great tool for this.
I downloaded the software but when i hit start it give me cant run marco can you please help
You must enable macros when the program opens
How do you test a dvc subwoofer?
will this work on a Mac?
it is available on our website. navigate to products/foryourtoolbox/im-sg
Wire the coils in parallel
can you do a video dual voice coils
blistic3000 same thing just put the coils in parallel for all tests
thanks

yes you can download it for free on our website
This is soooo incredibly helpful! Thanks man!
Excellent!
👍👍👍
What is the name of the app?
damoreengineering.com/collections/car-audio-installation-tools/products/im-sg-1 Towards bottom of page (speaker design spreadsheet)
I found right after I asked. Thank you. Love the triple pack. Good work
I update my pc to windows 10 and I cant get to work
blistic3000 make sure macros are enabled in excel
Ok thanks
I'm creating a speaker box that makes objects levitate in the EMF fields.
nice 28hz little monster!

Tony D'Amore The misnomers in car audio just keep on coming don't they!
Oh damn. Incredibly confusing.
