So glad I went when the Maya Bay was open and boats were allowed. It wasn't that crowed also. It's good they closed it to preserve it's beauty.

To avoid the crowds, you should visit Maya Bay as soon as it opens. I went there during the high season as well, taking a boat at 6 a.m. and arriving around 7 a.m.

It’s so scary！There are so many tourists. Crazy!!! I remember when I went there 30 years ago, it was still a very simple and quiet island. It's overcrowded now. What a shame😢⋯⋯
It’s high season but I do agree that it’s too crowded to enjoy. Hope in the future they can find a way to prevent too much crowds so everyone can enjoy its’ beauty.

When you complain about the place being overcrowded, just remember - by being there, you’re adding to the crowd too..
I agree completely. Went there 1991 and had a hut on the beach. No one around except for a handful of fellow solo travellers. Was a magical experience then. Now well I will never return but for first time visitors they won't know any better..

The national park management is real disappointed. As you said visit once to see it and do not get back. They should keep this place a secret forever. I'm lucky coz I have been there before those places become famous. I swam there also.
