How fun for all involved with that busy (annual?) event, Mike! The Sea Glass world and the world in general, is very fortunate and a better place, because of you and people like you, who are knowledgeable, as well as caring enough to share that knowledge with anyone interested. Bless Your Beautiful Heart!
I’m so glad you enjoyed this video Bernadette, at the time, I felt it was “all over the place” and almost didn’t publish it however am so glad I did.💯 As time progresses, it’s become a time capsule of my life and what was happening last fall!💫💯💫 Hugs Bernadette! 🧡
Thanks so much for your kind words and letting me know you enjoy my videos Laurie! 🧡🌅🧡🌅 I’m sorry to hear the days are long out your way and am sending happy thoughts and good vibes your way!💯 Hugs my friend! 🧡
Wonderful video! Thanks so much for catching up with us. Great to see you. I hope the storm didn't do you any damage. Loved the video, all that shiny glass!!
What a wonderful life Mike ! Your children a so lucky to have you in their lives. I hope to get to the Sea Glass Shanty one of these days. Keep making positive videos!
I had to smile when you talked about the child's teacup and how the parent supervised the use of the teasets because that was exactly what happened to me! My parents gave me a beautiful child's china teaset in the moss rose pattern in the late 1950s and always supervised when I played with it. But because of that, I still have the entire set, completely intact, in the original box! I'm very thankful my mom was so diligent in her supervision!
Jessica and I love your Sea Glass Shanty. All your sea glass creations are beautiful. Thank you so much for your kindness and sharing your knowledge with Jessica and I.
Fantastic video, Mike!! The Seaglass festival looked amazing, and I loved your comments on all of the glass! So cool to see what it’s like when the cruise ships arrive, and to get a glimpse of you at work! And, the best was to see you and your boys out at the beach! Thanks for a stellar video! Really made my day! Take care!!! 🙏❤️
What a great day. Thank you. We get to get out of winter and into your beautiful weather and fun activities. I also enjoy learning where these shards of glass originate. A nice man you are.
Hi Mike, so lovely to see you back. Miss your wonderful videos. Thanks for sharing the love. Looks like your very busy bless you. You really are a special person full of love . 😊🙏❤️
Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed the footage and drift bottle Daisy May!🌅 It was so exciting for the family who recovered it.💥 Me myself, I’ve sent a few drift bottles out but not yet heard back. Hopefully one day they are discovered! 🧡
Hello Mike 😊 Glad you are back and doing well. Great video as always! I really enjoyed seeing the shanty and the cruise ships docked. I apologize if I didn’t search enough of your videos and you already did this but could you please give a tour of the shanty? I was also wondering if you have ever entered the sea glass shard contest? Thanks 😊
Mike I have not been sea glassing in more than 3.5 years due to Covid. Your videos make me smile and I almost feel as though I’m collecting with you. Thanks for all the great info as well. I hope one day to come to see you in your shop all the way from Alberta❤
Loved your video as usual Mike. Thank you. Have missed your positivity, but so pleased it's working well for you, so good on you for working so hard and it paying off. Your shanty looks great. Where I am in the UK there isn't that much glass, but the possibility of finding some (even a colour!) always draws me back. You give out so much and it's so wonderful to see others visiting you. You're an inspiration. On another note...be careful wearing the earphones you use as they can harm your health as they emit emf radiation and I'd hate anything to cause problems with your wonderful caring spirit 🙏💗
Hi from the UK . I’ve just watched and now smiling from your positive attitude and words . I look forward to your videos as they give me the encouragement even when things are tough, to keep going and continue enjoying glass hunting and crafting . Thank you so much x❤
Found my first piece of amberina today! It was discovered on the shores of Lake Michigan in Wisconsin. Because of your amazing informative videos I knew what it was. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. 💙🧜♀️
Wow! Another amazing video so jammed packed with treasures and information! It was fun taking a trip back to the Seaglass festival. Thanks for showing all the shard entries. I didn't get the chance to see them all. Hope the last few cruise ships that come in end your season with a bang!!
I live in Moncton and met you at your shop in Cape Breton when I was home visiting my family. Anyway, watching your excitement over the shards made me comment that I have quite a few pieces like these, especially the pottery. Didn't know they were worth anything. Thanks for the info.
Glad to see you back and happy to see how much you've accomplished! That turquoise find was amazing. I found my first turquoise-green multi-coloured sea glass this summer. Can't wait to see more videos!
Hello, Mike! I was just thinking about you the other day, wondering how your summer went. What a treat to find this video! I love how you shared snippets of your season. I'm so glad that the tourists have returned and you had such a great time with everyone. I didn't realize your island was affected by Fiona. I hope it wasn't too bad and that things can get back to normal soon. Love to you & your boys!
Hi Mike! Loved the "tour" of all the entries at the awesome Mermaid Tears Sea Glass Festival. It is so exciting to see what everyone enters! Thanks for the look at what a busy cruise ship day looks like at your shanty, Happy Thanksgiving to you are your boys. 🦃🙂
You really ARE the best sea glass guy on the net, I'm in Oregon USA, not a ton of glass here, much more in Washington and Calif.I also collect japanese ceramics and have that childs blue willow ware you showed on this vid.a lot of doll collectors love those tiny tea sets. A couple yrs back I read an article about a glass show in California where a red piece from an old coke bottle sold for 800.00$ I didn't know they mass produced in red as I thought they used gold for red color, Do you know the time era for the red glass coke bottles?
Thank you so very much for your kind words Sally! 🧡🧡🧡 It absolutely made my day reading this!💯 As former treasurer of SGA (From 2015-2022) I’ve personally witnessed rare sea glass sell for amounts in this price range, and have personally sold my best reds for $200-250 however never have I heard of, or seen a “red glass” coke bottle. I do own a rare “green glass” coke bottle. In my observations the rarest coke bottles were early “Hutchinson closures”. And yes, Gold Chloride was the agent responsible for the production of “red glass” for many centuries however using other elements (such as copper) came into play as glassmakers have always been experimenting throughout the ages, and through experimentation comes new innovation. Hugs, hugs! 🧡
Thanks for your kind words and support Jane!🧡 Unfortunately, I’ve no online shop and only offer my creations and such down at my “Sea Glass Shanty” just off the boardwalk, downtown Sydney, Nova Scotia.
Now dont ruin anyones idea they can find a large unique piece on a public family beach. I found a large round honey yellow earlier this year that is going to be a "sun" in the landscape Im making. Its not common, but it does happen. Ontario, Canada.
What an exciting find Laurie!☀️☀️ I’m so happy for you and love the sound of your landscape!💫 No doubt, anything is possible, with respect to recovering treasures!💯 Happy hunting my friend I follow a few Great Lake Beachcombing groups and see some fantastic recoveries! 🌅
@SeaGlassArchaeology That's fantastic that you follow Great Lake beachcombers. I scour spots along Lake Erie myself. I love watching your channel, as the commentary on the history behind the pieces is fascinating. Often you've answered "Where could this be from?" for me.
Glad to know you've been very busy Abrazos from Mexico
Abrazos Florence!🧡
After my longest tourist season ever I’m beyond excited to reconnect with nature and share my adventures with everyone!🌅
