  • It was time to replace the Blubicon hood decals. Follow along and see how I did!
    UPDATE: A very small and sharp pin took out the bubbles. Easy peasy!

    Plastic putty knife works great for removing the decals...

    Removal question: is that a razor blade you are using? How long with the blow dryer?

      I am using a guitar pick =) You could use a credit or gift card, or any other thin rigid piece of plastic. For the hair dryer I just heat the letters until they are hot to the touch. That makes the original decals soft enough to remove. Hope that helps!

    What temperature did you have your heat gun set to remove the old decals? Thank you.

      Just a hair dryer on high =)

    Is that just a regular hair dryer or a heat gun? Also, does the original decal come up as easily?

      I used my wife's hair dryer, yes =) Original decals come off easily as long as you heat them up really well.

    What size are the letters you are using? I’d rather not have to sneak up to a random rubicon to measure 🤣

    • @Blubicon
      @Blubicon  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's a universal size from PixelDecals

    There is absolutely nothing informative about this. Doesn't even say if it's a heat gun or hair dryer. Who wants to watch someone peel stickers? That's all it is. Completely USELESS

      Sorry you feel that way Richard. At 2:35 you can clearly see that it's a hair dryer, not a heat gun (as only a fool would not be able to tell what a heat gun looks like) and at 4:45 I give a very detailed demonstration of the cleaning and prep process to prepare for the new decals. At 6:15 I reveal the special tool I used for removing the old decals. And at 7:05 I provide a detailed explanation of the application process. So I am afraid that if you didn't find any useful information, then you very likely are just a troll =) Have a nice day!
