No doubt gambir is champion batsman. In his career he don't even play at no.4 in odi. His position is fixed at opening and No.3. Now in name of experiments he destroying career of iyer and rahul. What stupid experiment in left - right combination. Last year same this time india win asia cup in srilanka with almost same squad. Till 5 all right batsmans and no.4 is iyer and no.5 rahul. Ruturaj is the best player to be included as he is the best player against any of the spin options, he can play left arm spin and leg spin or any other spin.
Sir let's face it , team was not prepared for these conditions... rahi baat batting order ki axar doing well in batting from past so many months so no issue there. Rahul & Iyer are cause of worry but don't worry they will come back hard n before rasing finger on these 2 players , Virat has also failed so Has Gill. So it is clear except rohit & axar all have failed in these conditions. Rinku & entire batting failed in 3rd T-20 under similar conditions. So message is clear it's conditions & lack of preparation for this series is letting team india down. Baki sab gyan hai.

This series has removed rohit fans misperception that Rohit's quickfire 40s were winning the game for india. It was middle overs batting of kohli iyer and rahul that was winning us the game. Virat was an exceptional boundary hitter of spin till 2014 as he used to so casually hit inside out shots for fours and at times sixes coming down the wicket then even from 2015-2017, his boundary hitting vs spinners was good enough though 2015 was a poor year for him but from 2018-2023(except for 2019), he just completely stopped taking risks against spinners in Odis unless he was batting on at least 50. His intent was pathetic vs spinners in 2023 World Cup as well as 2023 IPL but this year, his intent as well as execution of boundaries and sixes has been a lot better vs spinners but I am not sure if his defence is still good enough or not.
His defence is also poor. In test matches he didn't play well against spinners weather it is home or away
