So I may need to start living out of my car August 1st for a while. I recently discovered your channel, and I love how you've described your living out of your car. Watching every one of your videos. They're so real, the everyday in and outs of living in your car. They're really helping me. Thank you for sharing! ❤❤❤
Mmmm- Whataburger. I like the Avocado burger. Delish. But I'm in Minnesota and the closest Whataburger is in Kansas City and distance makes the heart grow fonder.
Hi. It was 122 degrees a few days ago here in West Texas. I also live in my car; a 2021 Ford EcoSport, which is so uncomfortable. There's no real cargo space so I have to rebuild my sleeping space every night from my storage unit. For the intense heat I have two power sources: a 600W Vtoman and a T300 Grecell (330W). I have 3 battery powered fans, one is 12" (can use usb outlet), two 5" (D batteries only), an AC 5" fan (AC outlet) and a tiny swamp cooler (USB Only). On those sweltering nights, all my fans and tiny swamp cooler (its like an Artic Breeze) help to rid the cabin of this heat and I can sleep soundly. I didn't notice if you had any power sources (solar generators) in your vehicle. They are a great help. I don't travel. I stay in my little town that I've been living for ten years now. I retired last July at 65.5 yrs old and found I cannot afford rent on social security. I had very little savings. Just couldn't take the work force anymore so made that move into my tiny subcompact Ford. It's been hell and many nights I cry and pray that I can one day get back to a regular living space. But apartment living, I swear, gave me PTSD because of such atrocious neighbors, who made me fear for my life and caused me so much aggrevation and stress that my hair fell out all in the front, pushing my hairline back at least 2-3 inches!! Car living is awful, amazingly uncomfortable, (cars were not built to be lived in or slept in), expensive, lonely, depressing and humiliating, but it still beats bad neighbors! Anyway, yes, this Texas heat is unbelievable though but thank God for fans! Be safe out there Elizabeth. P.S. I don't know how anybody can save money living this way. I cannot save a dime and I don't pay rent or travel. Gasoline costs are killing me because I don't sit in one place all day (how awful that would be) so I am at the gym, the library, getting ice or water, my storage unit, feeding some strays starving in a park, etc. Before I started this life, my car only had about 2000 miles on it. In 8 months I put over 7000 miles just driving back and forth in the little town. My expenses out weigh my social security payment and tiny little pension of $97 a month. I truly thought money could be saved living this way, but car payment, insurance, student loan, phone, storage unit, food, ice, butane, necessities, cat food, and other little expenses I'm forgetting, cost so much more than what I get on social security. At this point, I don't see me getting into another apartment ever because of I can't live well enough on social security while also being "homeless," I'll never be able to afford rent ever again!
I don't know you but I know you and I pray that Serenity calms your struggles and pray for mercy and grace to continually carry you through, that your steps are guided to moments of joy, relief security and peace of an uplifted mind. ❤
Yes I am also surprised at how much gas I use even just staying in town, by driving around a little bit. Blessings to you, that you can find a more stable situation that works for you!
Most people that I see on TH-cam who live full time in their cars in Texas have electric hybrid vehicles that can run the A/C continuously. Jake on TH-cam who makes his income doing gig economy lives full time in his Prius in Texas, (interesting young man who tells about his recovery journey and has lived in a vehicle for over 5 years.) Did you watch the Eclipse in Texas? Ennis had one of the longest length of totality in the path of the Eclipse. The Eclipse was absolutely beautiful! I live about 40 minutes from Ennis in a tiny town in Henderson County, the bluebonnets are always gorgeous.
Such beautiful praries in TX, but the heat and humidity makes it 112 or 115. If I'm out in that kind of weather I'll trigger a migraine and then I'm out for few days. TEX HEAT 🥵 no joke. What I've seen TX economy no as cheap as it used to be, nothing like Cali, but not cheap place to live as it was 5-10 years ago.
Heat is serious. I get heat stroke easily and it ruins your next few days. I have escaped into an air conditioned hotel at times when traveling and sleeping in my car.
Sub the toast for toasted bun on both sides grilled extra onions and jalapenos Spicy ketchup goes great with onion rings As for the prices. Gone are th days were things like gas and electricity let alone the cost of just RENT/MORTGAGE FOOD... .
It’s not you, nobody can live in a vehicle in Texas Summer. You can’t even leave a dog in a car for more than 3 minutes in the Summer. It’s just not a thing.
Those flowers are beautiful! Seeing texas blue bells with the Indian paintbrush flower was INCREDIBLE!!! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!

It really is no joke. My car was recently totalled. Now thinking about getting a Subaru.
Sorry to hear about your car being totaled!
What a nice trip through Tx. Love the desert flowers.
Yes they were lovely!
You were a bit late. Glad you came to see us here in Texas.
I’m Texan, you did blue bonnets and wataburger and that is seriously Texas. That’s more Texas than Texans do.
Lol!!
You need a rechargeable fan for summer
Absolutely I could not go in my vehicle during summer Without at least two USB Chargeable fans!
Yep I have one!

Totally makes sense to have a hybrid in a hot place like Texas! I watched the eclipse in Missouri (where my parents live)
Stay cool from the heat
I’ll try!
You are late for the blue bonnets

Yeah it is much harder to find cheap places nowadays!
Heat is serious. I get heat stroke easily and it ruins your next few days. I have escaped into an air conditioned hotel at times when traveling and sleeping in my car.
Yes me too!!
Omg, Texas? You need to head up to the Smokey Mountains or even Acadia National Park!
I went to Acadia when I was a kid!
It's not good when the campgrounds are hotter than the surface of the Sun, lol.
Thanks!
I lDallas Tx. By way of Farmer Branch,Tx

I would guess that van life/car life just isn’t possible in Texas Summer
But... Texas. No thanks.
