For all you people saying how many Chargers they destroyed the truth is they used 68 69 and 70's most of them they got from wrecking yards put bondo on them gave them a 20 foot paint job and sometimes they used a cable system to pull the car over the jumps no motor no tranny and they were able to reuse the charger for several jumps. In a interview years ago a mechanic on the set said they used 25 chargers using multiple camera angles they were able to "jump the car 4 or 5 times" for the price of one. In fact the Dukes of Hazzard saved more chargers from the dump then they wrecked.

@Crazy - Not all Generals were 69s. Some where 68s or 70s, just repainted for jumps and stunts. So not so many 69s were used all in all. :)
They never used any '70 Chargers, it was too much work to convert them. Only used 1968 and '69 models.
