@@s.h.h-js9oh she might speak/sing in english with a bit of accent but she speaks fluent english, she perfectly understands the meaning of the lyrics. In AGT audition (this vid is when she performed in the semifinal), she sang her original song, written in english. It's the user above who misunderstood her in the interview. She didn't say the song breaks the barrier. She said the song was related to her struggle of not being seen as a musician but as a blind person. What she's looking for is people see her a musician, which she hadn't found prior to AGT. Now that she's in AGT, it breaks the barriers and people start to see her as musician instead of just a blind person.
Peoples, Putri heart not blind she could work, she could produces the music, she could do everithing, but the real blind is some one cannot do anything. So why we should talk about her eyes redundant. Let forget her eyes better focus her talented hwo make us happy when she sang.

As far as I understand she cannot speak Arabic but can read Arabic like many practicing Muslims because it’s a part of the praying, one of the foundations of Islam. She speaks English, Indonesian and obviously her native language, Javanese. And she can sing other songs of different languages quite well (Arabic, Hindi, Acehnese, and others). I can be wrong about it though!

Je ne suis pas sûre de correctement vous comprendre, mais il est évident qu'avec Putri Ariani nous sommes très loin du karaoké.
Putri ne reproduit pas, elle transforme, elle recompose, elle invente. Et de plus, elle ne chante pas sur une musique enregistrée, elle s'accompagne elle-même et merveilleusement bien au piano, ou bien chante a capella, merveilleusement bien aussi.
Mais si je vous comprends bien, en effet AGT ressemble parfois à un karaoké, avec tous ces chanteurs qui attendent que la musique soit lancée pour commencer à chanter.

Putri is a seventeen-year-old, visually impaired singer from Indonesia.
She has been singing since she was two and composed her first song at eleven years old.
In a recent interview, Putri said that the song was chosen for her by AGT team. She added that she tried to understand the lyrics of the song to get the message in it. In her interpretation, everybody is looking for something in his/her life. And for Putri, she's looking for people to acknowledge her talent as a musician, but people only see her as a blind person.
The dress that Putri wore was designed by Tiffany Liem, an Indonesian designer. As a muslim woman, Putri wears a headscarf to cover her hair.

She was delivered into this world when in her mother's womb for only 6 months! Had to stay in an incubator for 3 months. Her eyes were operated on but sadly didn't work;; making her totally blind at only 3 months old. when just a tiny girl of 3 she began tp love singing and therefore memorized many songs! Her parents couldn't be any better as far as encouraging here every step of the way with her GOD GIVEN gift; and she won sing two adult songs at on 8 years old on Indonesia! Try watching all the songs Putri sang to PERFECTION!!! PLAYING the piano to perfection too; having taken classical piano lessons from a little girl! she sang songs as a young girl out of this world; closing my eyes, hearing a mature singer not a 17 year old! Putri has been totally blind since she left the hospital at 3 months & was born 3 months premature. She is a self taught singer/songwriter and multi instrumentalist (Piano, guitar, & flute). She sings most genera from most periods. I think she just picked up and plays her instruments by ear-no formal training, that is the case with piano, not sure about the other instruments.
