Thank you for another great video! Yall saying " I am sure he is living a great life in a vase somewhere " reminded me that earlier today my 2 year old brother totaly shocked me by saying " we need to save all the fishies at the store. They are all dying. We need to save them and gets them some tanks. And I name my fishy Nemo! " I was like yeah that is a great idea. And he said " you help me save all the fishes for my birthday? " and I said sure buddy. Lol. He is gonna do great things in life.

The nearest pet store to me is 2 hours away and it’s a PetSmart -_- so I order all my stuff online

I love Big Al's! My brother and I go there sometimes just to hang out with the animals, it's like a free zoo. That puffer is AMAZING! The shark has been there foreverrrrrr and it's always been the only thing in the tank so the GIGANTIC puffer was a surprise! So cool!
Just to keep in mind if you ever buy livestock at that Big Al’s.... They often have sick, injured and malnourished/dehydrated reptiles and fish that come in and they still will try to sell them to you. The owner is terrible in that sense. Staff is good with the animals they know but the more “exotic” ones suffer. I’ve “saved” countless animals from there 😩 I would stick to those smaller more local stores like critter jungle and there’s loads of rescues as well! You should checkout reptiles rock rescue:)
I will forever regret not buying the overpriced organic bird food and the terribly painted plastic mantis shrimp.

Critter Jungle on Carling Ave is the absolute best pet store in Ottawa, especially for reptile people.
Betta fish and gold fish and koi fish are so beautiful

Pet stores in Canada must have much higher standards than here in the US. Pet stores here are a joke.
Mmmmm it depends, in Ottawa there have been some awful ones, like a Pet World (pretty sure it's still there) and we used to have a PetCetera that was really bad. In recent years the Petsmarts got so many complaints that they improved the quality of care for the animals they have which is great! That one Critter Jungle and the Big Al's are definitely the best though. We don't have Petco like the US so that's good!
