Project Bessie | Fuel Pump Rebuild and Almost Engine Swap

Working on the flathead we got the fuel pump rebuilt. With closing in on the engine start I get the old engine out of the A frame and it doesn't go as planned.

The gasket does not need any adhesives

How did you make sure the rod was in the plunger when re installing? Haven’t a hard time with that.

You can attach the pump to the engine and the take off the diaphragm portion, rotate the engine and watch the plunger move up and down.
