Always been a fan of volleyball since elementary days. Now I'm 23 and still loving volleyball. Got a high respect for all the athletes out there 🙂
Lot of people hating on David Smith. He's a great player. Maybe he had an off day, but a lot his sets were really low or too far away. I honestly thought he did fine. Anderson is Matt Anderson as always...either crushing it or abusing the block. Russell even had a pretty good game. Sanders made several errors but he also had some great plays.
USA has a great team. They got into several ruts, but they had their streaks too. Just too little too late.
I'm agree with you, I think that they're a really good team.
France has a really strong block.

Congrats to France - what an amazing game. Its a shame the US didn't have enough left in the tank for the tie breaker. They were feeding Anderson in the 4th game. Not sure why they went away from him in the 5th.
Boyer is so good play in this match👍 he made 30 + points in the full match
No blocks, SO many service errors by USA. It doesn’t help that France is a force to be reckoned with! Phew!

volleyball isn’t as mainstream as basketball or football in the US. if u check USA’s FIBA rank (international basketball) we place #1 amongst all the other countries. this is because the NBA is a very popular basketball league in the US

Wow, this will go down as one of the greatest comebacks in sports history . . . USA wasn't even supposed to get a point off on the french team! These guys just came together out of high school to play on the international level! Amazing they took 2 sets!

• The match begins with a commitment from the United States. The player takes off and shoots.
- The France team goes on the offensive with a magnificent smash from Nicolas Le Goff and scores the first point of the match.
• As you can see and hear, the audience is on fire today, a crazy vibe.
- The Goff serves a floating ball. Good smash from the Americans but beware the France team receives the ball but unfortunately makes the mistake. The score is now 1 everywhere in this game.
• We can see thanks to the slow motion that the ball was indeed touched by the French Block but it was not enough to be able to intervene. Holt sends a quick and powerful serve, but the French control and Ngapeth sends a smash which is blocked and forces the French to foul.
- Once again, the United States went to serve and from the start of the match sent a very strong serve but the French managed to better control the ball and scored the point thanks to a smash from Stephen Boyer. In slow motion we can see that the ball is only touched by Holt but he cannot give the ball to his partners and he is out of the way.
• Toniutti serves but the Americans attack quickly with a quick and sharp smash. So they took the lead in this crazy match.
- As we can see on this slow motion, the blocker cannot counter this ball, in particular thanks to this small effect that the attacker will give when he touches the ball to spike.
• The American player serves but unfortunately the ball is lodged in the nets, which allows France to come back to stick to the score. We can see the determination as well as the concentration within the French group.
I feel like volleyball would be so cool to play but I also feel like my parents would be disappointed in me lol

What a run by USA! Be nice if they closed it out though. Next time for sure!
Smith definitely had a bad day... But I think the 2 lost sets at the beginning put too much strain on the players. You can't play without your starting lineup against a team like France. The younger guys shouldn't have been subbed in for Russell or Sander. Anderson, Russell and Sander are the 3 attackers on the US team. Taking one of them out diminishes the attacking power so much..

Both of these teams are among the best so yeah
USA has the best players in the world but she doesn't use them in a right way . They lost many serves and did many mistakes and in the end they lost the match . If they don't wake up and realize that every point counts , they will never take the first place!! Anderson , Christenson , Holt and Russel have excellent chemistry , use them!!!

How is US team’s performance this year for next Olympics? Wish they Keep a high level of performance?
Although this game is a year older or so what's frustrating watching this game is the serving percentage was so bad. American team played good it's the service error causing them points and a game.but I'm still proud of them

Hey I’m looking to get into volleyball as I’ve suddenly got a random interest in it. If anyone has any tips for it that would be nice. After watching a couple videos libero seems to be a fun role that I would like to play :)
unhapee btw libero is the position that need to bring up the team motivation after loosing the point
You better enhance your Digging/Receiving if you want to play Libero. Also practice Setting the ball because a Libero is considered as a Secondary Setter.

I'm going to help go for France is Kevin Tillie, the son of Olympian, Volleyball player in Seoul 1988, and Barcelona 1992 Head Coach Laurent Tillie, and Earvin Ngapeth, the son of Olympian, Volleyball player Eric Ngapeth. I understand. This is 2018. This is the 3rd sequel. This is excellent.
