  • Hello everyone! Before we get started I want to say that I did not post this to show you the “ideal” candidate to get to PA school, these are just what ha-penned to get me in. I understand that hearing other people stats sometimes helps gauge where you are at with your own stats, but keep in mind there is much more to your application than the numbers (including your letters of recommendation and personal statement). With that being said, here is a short and sweet video that lists out my stats when applying to PA school!

About me: Hello! My name is Aubrie Jones and I will be starting physician assistant school in August 2020. I graduated from San Diego State University in May 2019 with a BS in Kinesiology, Pre-Physical Therapy. I was a pre-PA peer mentor for 3 years in undergrad and was also the president of our pre-PA student association. I started my Instagram (@whitecoatchasing) and this TH-cam channel to help other pre-PAs and eventually share my journey through PA school!

Hey Aubrie! How did you calculate your last 45-60 unit GPA?

Hey! I just added up my last courses until it hit either 45 or 60 units and then used a standard GPA calculator to calculate it with only those classes! ☺️

Aubrie Jones Thank you!! Good luck with everything, you’re inspiring. I’m also a CNA right now and have been since i was 18. I’m 20 now and I have a BA in Public health with a minor in sociology. Do you think a BA will hold me back in comparison to a BS? I have to finish up my prereqs at a CC. 💕💌 I look up to your journey.

That is amazing! CNA is a great experience and you seem to have a lot of hours in that so that’s awesome. Your major, and type of degree, does not really matter as long as you complete all of the requirements and are competitive overall! ☺️ and aww thank you, that is so sweet to hear!
