I went to a Wizards game once, we had VIP tickets, so we had to go to this “Team Club” section and it was a buffet, a bar, lots of dining tables, lounges, snacks, TVs around to watch the game while watching it IRL, pool tables, artifacts from the past that are staged in a museum that involves all-time Washington legends from the NBA, WNBA, the NHL, and NCAA. The food was 8/10 honestly, probably one of the best things I ever had and tons of food options. The staff were genuinely nice too and actually sparked conversations with us and complimented us. The only bad thing about it is that we watched the Wizards get DESTROYED by KD and the Nets (mind you Kyrie was suspended during this time period) The final score was 128-86. There were a lot of fans too, but it was still somewhat dead and it only got loud for a brief second whenever KD scored. Other than that, it was a great experience being at my first ever NBA game, it was also my third time being at CapitolOne Arena, but my first two times going were NCAA games watching Georgetown play back in 2009 and 2010
The Spectrum Center is pretty awesome I grew up in a city where we only have minor league baseball and hockey so when I seen it for the first time I was blown away lol
The thing with Capital One Arena, we don’t have a good NBA team and because of that the crowd isn’t into it. Ice hockey is different, it is very a hype crowd, and our hockey team is much better. My take, if you go to Capital One Arena, go for a hockey game, not an NBA team.

I have been to both the Spectrum Center and State Farm Arena. I’d say the Pro Shop at State Farm Arena was better, but the atmosphere and food were better at Spectrum Center. I spent similar prices for seats at both arenas and felt closer to the action at Spectrum.

I’ve been to so many hawks games at State Farm arena and I definitely wouldn’t say that it’s one of the worst arenas. the food isn’t the worst but it also isn’t the best. the prices are pretty expensive for food and some merchandise but overall it’s not bad. everytime i go the crowd is always hyped. id personally give the arena a 4 out of 5 stars. Just bc im a biased hawks fan
I’m a hornets fan so maybe a little biased but I feel like atmosphere isn’t a fair category to add (especially if you’re really just reviewing the stadiums themselves). Games in April with 3 teams that are already eliminated will obviously have a dead atmosphere haha but fully agree otherwise
